Scotland’s Boat Show 2022

Along with the rest of the country, Scotland’s Boat Show has been subject to rapidly increasing infrastructure costs, some of which have more than doubled, together with a critical shortage of boats available for sale, both new and pre-owned.

Given these unfortunate circumstances we have had to take the decision to cancel Scotland’s Boat Show 2022 due to take place this October here at Kip Marina.

Presenting Scotland’s Boat Show each year takes an enormous effort, both from the team here at Kip Marina, and from our exhibitors who invest expertise, time, and money, to ensure a successful show. Consequently, we believe it essential to make this announcement now, rather than risk a postponement later with a potentially damaging financial impact to our exhibitors and we believe this to be the correct, albeit extremely disappointing, course of action.

“Despite the huge effort already made by our team in preparing Scotland’s Boat Show again this year, we believe this to be the sensible course of action given the present circumstances, and one that our partners and exhibitors understand,” said Holt Leisure Managing Director Gavin McDonagh. “In the meantime we would like to thank everyone for being so supportive of the show and all those who put so much in to creating the event.”.

We would like to thank all our sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and of course visitors, for their past and continued support, currently we are looking at a smaller alternative event at Kip Marina if possible and will update you if feasible.

Today Friday 9th October should have been the opening day of Scotland's Boat Show 2020 but, as we all know, due to the pandemic we have had to postpone until 8th, 9th & 10th October 2021.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our partners, exhibitors and staff who, every year, work together to make this Scotland's biggest boat show and such a successful event.

Thank you as well to our thousands of visitors who travel to Kip Marina and Inverclyde to support us and the Scottish boating, sailing and marine tourism industry.

We will be back for 2021 bigger and better and with 'River of Light' a floating spectacle to celebrate Scotland's Year of Coasts & Waters!
Stay safe and we will see you in 2021! #

Scotland’s Boat Show 2021

We are delighted to confirm the new dates for Scotland’s Boat Show 2021 as the 8th, 9th and 10th October 2021, having taken the decision to postpone this year’s show due to the current pandemic and in the interests of the safety of our visitors and exhibitors.

In its place this year, we had explored the possibility of hosting a Boat Sales Weekend in October but, given the continued uncertainty, we have decided to concentrate on an expanded Spring National Boat Sales Weekend here at Kip Marina on the 15th & 16th May 2021 with an emphasis on the best of Scottish boats and boating in a safe and secure environment.

This will undoubtedly be a bumper event for knowledgeable visitors as it is also the weekend we host Kip Regatta, the first major race event of the season here at Kip, with an expected entry of over 60 boats from around the UK and Ireland.

Scotland’s Boat Show 2021 is set to be our biggest event yet and will also include the spectacular ‘River of Light’ as part of Event Scotland’s Year of Coasts & Waters on Saturday 9th October when Kip Marina and the River Clyde will play host to a floating illuminated display and a shore side festival of Scottish food & drink!

We are working closely with our partners and supporters and will be announcing further details on these major events in the near future but in the meantime the dates for your diary are as follows;

Spring National Boat Sales Weekend - Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th May 2021

Scotland’s Boat Show 2021 and River of Light - Friday 8th, Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th October 2021

For further details of exhibiting or visiting these events please email [email protected] or call Cheryl on 01475 521485.
