📢IMPORTANT MESSAGE📢

We are receiving a huge number of concerns from members who have witnessed members of the public & tourists jump into farmers fields, take selfies with cattle, and even sit on the cattle.

Highland cattle might look gentle, but they’re powerful animals — and especially protective when calving or when young calves are on the ground.

Please don’t enter farmers’ fields or approach them for selfies, they are not selfie props.

It puts you at risk and causes stress to the cattle, particularly mothers who will defend their calves without hesitation.

If you want a close up experience, visit an organised Highland cattle event run by experienced breeders where safety and welfare come first.

❄️🐑 Winter break time at Halcyon Farm! Our gates will be closing from 10th November 2025 to 31st January 2026 as our animals will be taking a wee winter rest. 🌾💤

Thank you to everyone who visited us this year — we’ve loved sharing our little slice of the Highlands with you! 🏞️💛

We’ll be back in February, refreshed, recharged, and ready for more farmyard fun. Until then, stay warm and keep cozy! 🧣🐮✨

❄️🐮 Our coos at Cluanie Farm have packed their bags and are heading off on their winter vacay! They’ve worked hard all season charming visitors and munching their way through the Highlands — now it’s time for some well-deserved rest.

Cluanie Farm is now closed.

❗️Please note that Halcyon Farm Tours will be closed from December through January. Depending on the weather, we may close as early as the end of November ❄️ — so if you’d like to squeeze in a visit before then, now’s your chance!
