A landmark piece of ’s community heritage has been restored to its original vibrancy 🎨

The 25-metre mural at Stapleton Road Station, made up of 12 panels along Platform 1, was originally created in 1999 and has become an enduring symbol of the people, heritage and diversity of Easton.

For more than 25 years it has welcomed passengers to Stapleton Road, celebrating figures including civil rights campaigner Dr Paul Stephenson and cricketing legend WG Grace.

The restoration project was led by Severnside Community Rail Partnership with funding from GWR and further support from our corporate partners Siemens.

The Stapleton Road Station mural forms part of the CRP's wider Art on Route trail, a collection of public artworks all accessible by public transport that showcase the creativity, identity and history of communities across the region.
