Good evening from Reigate 👋

Another busy day in the office for the Calibre team!

It’s certainly been a busy summer, with plenty of vehicle movements keeping hands on the wheel and the team behind the scenes busy. 🚛 From the drivers out on the road to the team in the office, it really is a joint effort to keep everything moving and make sure our deliveries run as smoothly as possible.

As Calibre continues to grow, we’ve also been making a few changes behind the scenes. Neil is now taking the lead on planning and strategy, making sure we’re not just planning for tomorrow, but for what’s ahead. James, Rae and Alice are looking after the day-to-day operations and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

And talking of the team… you may notice a new face in the photo!

We’d also like to introduce Alice, who has now been part of the Calibre team for three months. 👋 She’s also our newest female addition to the team, and it’s great to have another brilliant woman on board. 💪

It’s an exciting time for Calibre, with plenty happening both on the road and behind the scenes. We’re looking forward to what’s next!

🚛 Driver Spotlight | Meet Rob Newman

This week we’re introducing Midlands driver Rob Newman.

Although he’s only been with Calibre for six weeks, Rob brings decades of experience behind the wheel, including touring Europe by coach and a 25-year career in the emergency services before returning to professional driving.

🗺️ What do you enjoy most about the job?

“No two days are the same. I enjoy the freedom to plan my own routes, and every week feels like a magical mystery tour around the UK.”

🚛 Favourite part of driving for Calibre?

“The variety. One day it could be an electric bus, the next a specialist vehicle. You’re always learning.”

☕ Cab essentials?

“My TomTom, a power bank… and a coffee mug that’s rarely empty!”

💡 Best advice for new drivers?

“Take your time, never be afraid to ask for help, and remember… GOAL. Get Out And Look.”

Assessment day on the road!

Matt T was out this morning carrying out a driver assessment, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service are maintained.

The photo even captured a great moment, with the driver giving a friendly wave to a fellow bus driver. It’s a small gesture that says a lot about the camaraderie within the industry.

A great day at the opening of Scania Group new Stockton Branch!

Yesterday, Stuart Smith has the pleasure of attending the official opening of Scania UK impressive new Stockton Site, where he caught up with some of the team.

The new purpose built, 100% fossil-free branch is a fantastic investment in the North East, featuring modern workshop facilities, enhanced diagnostics, and improved amenities for customers and drivers.

Congratulations to everyone at Scania on the opening, and a thank you for a warm welcome.

It’s been another busy day for Team Calibre, with our drivers delivering commercial vehicles across the UK and Europe.
