Following an SES Water supply issue in the local area yesterday (Friday 28 August) which impacted some parts of the North Terminal, we are pleased to report that the water supply has fully returned to the airport, and all facilities are open and operating as normal today.

We recognise the inconvenience caused by yesterday’s water shortage and thank passengers for their patience and understanding.

Following an SES Water supply issue that impacted some areas of the North Terminal this afternoon, we are pleased to report that water pressure is beginning to return to normal. Toilets have remained available throughout, and food and beverage outlets are now reopening and serving hot food.

Since becoming aware of the issue, we have been working closely with our airport partners to help minimise the impact and successfully ensure all of today's flights continue to depart as scheduled.

We recognise the inconvenience caused by today’s water shortage and thank passengers for their patience and understanding. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

A water issue is causing some disruption in the local area. The problem is affecting water supply in both terminals and is currently under investigation by SES Water.

At present, there has been no impact on flights. We will provide further updates and apologise for any inconvenience to passengers

More than 100 people have now completed the London Gatwick Aviation Academy, taking important steps towards new careers across the airport community. ✈️

Since launching in February 2026, the programme has helped participants gain new skills, achieve a recognised aviation qualification and access employment opportunities, with many already securing roles or preparing to start work.

Below, hear some of the positive impact the Aviation Academy is having across Sussex, Surrey and Croydon from those involved.

📣 Welcome to the 'Jordan North Terminal' 📣

Today, passengers arriving at London Gatwick may find themselves travelling through the Jordan North Terminal.

Our North Terminal has been renamed for one day only in honour of Capital FM Breakfast host Jordan North.

The idea started earlier this week when Jordan North, Chris Stark and Siân Welby challenged Capital Breakfast listeners to come up with the most unexpected places the show could appear across the UK.

Working with our friends at TUI, we were more than happy to make this happen!
