Why book with me?

🌟 Firstly I am not an online booking platform, I am an experienced travel professional. My travel business is not a sideline, I work full time. I am not on a paid salary.

🌟 When you book with me you get a personal 1-1 Service. I have no admin team and deal with every enquiry myself.

🌟 I take time to research hotels, their facilities, locations and any other things that you have told me are important to you, saving you time and stress.

🌟 Once booked I am at the end of the phone, WhatsApp, email or however you prefer to communicate

🌟 I will make any changes that may be needed and will advise you of flight changes, building works and other important things that may pop up.

🌟 I update your passport information with the airline, prebook your seats, do your check in and if you like printed documents I print, deliver, or post them

🌟 I will wish you a bon voyage and am here if you need anything while you away

✨️How do I add value ?

Booking a week away to fly & flop is easy, some people are happy to do this themselves and don’t need the help of an experienced agent. Others don’t have time to search the internet or they just don’t want to.

🕰 I fully understand that people are looking for the best price, the best value for money and will sometimes take a look themselves. It’s no secret that when you use a professional service it can be a little more in price than if you do it yourself. You pay for a decorator, you pay for a builder, you pay for a solicitor and the list goes on.

🔨On- line prices and DIY
You may then take what I have found you, duplicate it online, or decide to DIY it- finding flights and then booking hotels directly. In these situations it is not like for like and the price is not comparable. No service, no backup.

🌞I have had many new followers on my page, welcome and thank you for following.

I thought this would be the perfect time to highlight how I work, what you get when booking with me, how I can best add value to you and how I am different from online booking platforms or DIY holidays. It's a bit of a long post but I hope it explains things a little more.

🌞Firstly I am not an online booking platform, I am an experienced travel professional with over 24 years of experience in the travel industry. My Travel business is not a sideline, I work full time and am always available when you need me, I am not on a paid salary, this is my only source of income.

🌞When you book with me you get a personal 1-1 Service. I have no admin team and deal with every enquiry myself.

🌞I take time to research hotels, their facilities, locations and any other things that you have told me are important to you, saving you time and stress.

🌞I work around what you tell me you would ideally like to spend.

🌞Once booked I am at the end of the phone, WhatsApp, email or however you prefer to communicate

🌞I will make any changes that may be needed and will advise you of flight changes, building works and other important things that may pop up.

🌞I update your passport information with the airline, prebook your seats, do your check in and if you like printed documents I print, deliver, or post them

🌞I will wish you a bon voyage and am here if you need anything while you away

✨️How do I add value ?

Booking a week away to fly & flop is relatively easy, some people are happy to do this themselves and don't need the help of an experienced agent to do this for them. Others don't have time to search and trawl through the internet or they just don't want to. With more complex itineraries that include multiple flights, Multiple hotels, touring, guides, or bucket list experiences, this is where I add more value. I do of course book every kind of holiday

🕰All of the above takes time - and time is valuable right.
Although I fully understand that people are looking for the best price, the best value for money and will sometimes take a look themselves, this is human nature. It's no secret that when you use a professional service it can be a little more in price than if you do it yourself.. You pay for a decorator, you pay for a builder, you pay for a solicitor and the list goes on.
I will always look for the best price based on what you tell me you want to spend.

🔨On- line prices and DIY
You may then take what I have found you, duplicate it online, or decide to DIY it- finding flights and then booking hotels directly. In these situations it is not like for like and the price is not comparable. No service, no backup, and when doing a DIY holiday, no ATOL so no protection.

✨️If you love to do the research yourself, have the time to look for holidays yourself, have time to spend on the phone making any changes or if you have a simple quick question, if you have time to add your passport information, book your seats and do your check-in and of course keep up to date with FCDO and entry requirements then this is where I won't be able to add any value and if you have time to do all of this, then please take the time to let me know you are not looking to book anymore.

🌞I hope this explains a little more about what I offer and helps you to decide if working with me will add value to your overall experience. If so I would love to hear from you
Thank you for taking the time to read this very long post.

Have you been following this year’s Race Across the World on the BBC?

We’re completely hooked...my kids are loving Katie and Harrison!

If the race has sparked your own sense of adventure, I have found a tour that lets you experience it all on a deeper, more unforgettable level…

Coastal cities give me all the feels - there's nothing like having a mooch around a city, taking in all the culture and shops, and then heading to the beach for an aperitif!
Which city takes your fancy?

From the tropical top end to the laid‑back south, this is Queensland in motion. A fortnight that flows easily from reef to rainforest, big skies to beach towns, with just the right balance of buzz and barefoot downtime. It begins with a gentle pause in Singapore to reset the body clock, before sweeping you into Australia’s sunniest, most photogenic state.
Up north, we ease you in via Cairns before settling into Port Douglas, where the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest meet in proper WOW style. One day you’re floating over colour‑packed coral, the next you’re deep in ancient rainforest, soaking up stories that bring the landscape to life. There’s time for sunset sails, long lunches and that unmistakable feeling of being somewhere special.
Then it’s southbound for a fresh rhythm. The Sunshine Coast delivers salty air, great coffee and beaches that encourage you to slow right down. Whether it’s Mooloolaba or Noosa, days drift by between the surf, coastal walks and national parks. We switch things up with a night in the hinterland too, rainforest views and a sense of calm that feels a world away, even though the coast is close.
K’gari adds another layer of magic. Endless sand, clear freshwater lakes and wild shorelines that feel beautifully untouched. Go for a full‑day adventure or stay overnight on the island and sink into it properly. It’s unforgettable either way, especially if you pair it with whale season.
We finish in Brisbane, a city that rounds things off nicely. Think riverside strolls, green spaces, brilliant food and a creative energy that feels relaxed and welcoming. It’s an easy, feel‑good finale after two weeks packed with iconic moments.

I love a train journey! And I'm not talking about an slow Thameslink train into St Pancras, I mean a good trip, either following the coastline or through beautiful rolling hills. I've travelled in Italy via train, between cities and I've also used the UK train system quite a lot, whether it be up to Scotland or down to Cornwall.

Travelling by train, whether it be in Europe or beyond, is becoming a really popular way to see countries in one trip rather than having to fly all the time.

It's normally much cheaper and a much more responsible way to travel.

Please get in touch if it's a trip you're thinking of making and would like me to create an itinerary for you.

This is already been a bit of a strange year for travel.

With the conflict still going on in the Middle East many people are, quite rightly, feeling anxious about travelling too far.
It has also had a knock on effect for fuel prices that have gone up exponentially which then has put prices up for short haul trips to European destinations.
It seems like everything is going up for families and holidays are one of the things that seems to fall by the way side.

With all that in mind, did you know that I am a UK specialist and have travelled to many of the UK's 4 corners!

If you aren't looking to travel abroad this year but would still like a family break then why not let me suggest some UK destinations - The UK is so diverse - you can have mountains, beach, culture, nightlife, lakes and family activities all within an hour of where you stay! I can also book cottages, lodges, caravans and hotels.

Get in touch today if I can help you plan your UK adventure!
