Rajah, the last of a series of mechanical elephants built at Luneside Engineering, at around 75 years ago has returned home. He will make his first public appearance since coming home for Millfest on September 12, Halton’s annual music festival.

We love to hear that the flora carefully planted by our dedicated Friends of Bentham Station is being appreciated by visitors from near and afar.. Captured here is a Striped Hawk Moth feeding on the Petunia plants at Bentham station. This moth is a very rare, large and striking sight in this area - as a migrant species from North Africa and southern Europe that turns up occasionally in the UK during periods of warm southerly weather, but very rarely gets as far north as this.
