Dedicated fleet isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution.

From keeping retail shelves stocked to supporting production lines, moving essential FMCG products or managing regular distribution for manufacturers, every sector has its own demands.

For some businesses, it’s about maintaining consistent delivery schedules. For others, it’s having greater control over capacity, managing seasonal demand or ensuring transport is aligned with daily operations.

That’s where dedicated fleet solutions can make a real difference.

We work with businesses to develop dedicated transport operations around their requirements, bringing together vehicles, drivers, planning and operational support.

Different industries. Different challenges. Dedicated solutions built around your business.

Sometimes, the biggest cost in logistics isn't the transport itself.

It's the time lost waiting for stock, the missed delivery window, the production schedule that needs adjusting or the opportunity that couldn't be fulfilled.

For businesses, the impact of a logistics decision can reach much further than the cost of moving goods from one location to another.

That's why looking at the bigger picture matters.

The right logistics approach considers not only what a movement costs, but how it supports the wider business, from maintaining stock availability to meeting customer expectations and keeping operations productive.

The true value of logistics isn't always measured by what it costs. Sometimes, it's measured by what it enables.

Every delivery has a destination. 🚛

Behind every movement are decisions about routes, timings, capacity and the people needed to bring everything together.

Some journeys are planned well in advance. Others need a quicker response when requirements change.

GBA Logistics brings together the resources and expertise to support both.

Because reliable logistics isn’t just about getting from A to B. It’s about having the right people, planning and flexibility behind every movement.

Different requirements. One commitment to keeping our customers moving.

You never really know what someone else might be going through.

We all have days when things feel a little more difficult, whether that's because of pressures at work, challenges at home or something we're finding hard to talk about.

And while we can't always see what someone is dealing with, we can all make an effort to be there for each other.

A friendly conversation, checking in with a colleague or taking the time to listen can make a real difference to someone's day.

At GBA Logistics, The Silver X Group and Bow Distribution, we recognise the importance of trying to create a working environment where people feel supported, respected and comfortable asking for help when they need it, this is why we have Mental Health First Aiders who are trained to help and guide in any situation.

This World Mental Health Day, let's remember that it's okay not to be okay, and reaching out for support is something we should always encourage.

Looking after each other starts with the little things, as little kindness and understanding can go a long way.

Demand changes, deliveries are delayed, capacity becomes unavailable and customer requirements can change.

You can’t predict every disruption, but you can prepare for how your operation will respond.

➡️Identify your biggest risks.
Focus on the scenarios that would have the greatest impact. What happens if transport capacity becomes unavailable, a critical delivery is delayed or demand exceeds your forecast? Can you rely on your current logistics partner?

➡️Know what Plan B looks like.
Consider what alternatives you can access, from additional transport capacity and different routing to prioritising critical deliveries or adjusting schedules.

➡️Make communication part of the plan.
Decide who needs to know, who is responsible for communicating updates and how quickly information needs to move when something changes.

➡️Know who can make the decision.
Clear escalation routes and decision-makers can help your team act quickly rather than losing valuable time waiting for approvals.

A contingency plan shouldn’t just identify what could go wrong. It should make it clear what happens next.

Peak is getting closer. If your logistics plan still has gaps, comment “peak” and let’s look at your options.

It can mean more delivery locations, additional collections and different order sizes, as well as increased frequency.

So, before your demand increases:

➡️Understand what will actually change.
Don’t just forecast additional volume. Work with a logistics partner which will look at which routes, locations and delivery requirements are likely to face the most pressure.

➡️Secure capacity early.
Review what’s already confirmed and where additional resource could be needed before demand across the market increases. Let's move fast as you don't have long.

➡️Know your alternatives.
If planned capacity becomes unavailable or requirements suddenly change, what other options can you access?

➡️Protect the customer experience.
Your customers still expect the same level of service, regardless of how much additional pressure your operation is under.

Peak planning isn’t simply asking, “Can we move more?” It’s asking yourself, “Can we move more without compromising the service our customers expect?”

Peak is getting closer. If your logistics plan still has gaps, comment “peak” and let’s look at your options.

Good customer service in logistics often happens before the customer needs to ask.

It’s sharing updates before the customer has to chase them.
Spotting that something has changed and already looking at the options.
Understanding the customer’s operation well enough to know when a small change could have a much bigger impact.
Taking action and taking accountability when things don’t go exactly to plan.

For us, customer service is part of the logistics operation, because moving the goods matters but so does the experience our customers have while we’re doing it.

Increasing inventory ahead of peak can provide additional security, but only if your operation is ready to receive, store and move it efficiently.

As you prepare for higher demand, there are a few areas worth reviewing.

➡️ Plan where your peak inventory needs to sit.
Look at which products are likely to see the biggest increase in demand and where that demand is expected to come from. The aim isn’t simply to hold more stock, but to have it positioned where it can support the operation effectively.

➡️Review throughput, not just storage.
Having enough warehouse space doesn’t necessarily mean you have enough capacity. Consider how much stock can actually move through the operation efficiently, from receiving inbound deliveries through to loading and dispatch.

➡️Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries.
Higher inbound volumes arriving at the same time as increased outbound demand can quickly put pressure on warehouse operations. Reviewing delivery schedules, collections and loading capacity together can help prevent avoidable bottlenecks.

➡️Plan for the forecast to change.
Some products may move faster than expected, while others could remain in storage for longer. Consider what that could mean for available space and what options you have if the reality of peak looks different from the plan.

Peak preparation isn’t only about having enough stock.

It’s about making sure your operation can keep that stock moving when demand increases.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Guy has won the Road Safety Hero Award at the Brake, the road safety charity Awards! 👏🏼

Earlier this year, we shared Guy’s story after his quick thinking and decisive actions helped protect a driver who had become unwell in a live lane on the M62.

Guy safely positioned his HGV to protect the stranded vehicle from approaching traffic, contacted the emergency services and stayed with the driver until help arrived.

His actions that day demonstrated incredible courage, professionalism and care for others, and we couldn’t be prouder to see him recognised for it.

This award is thoroughly deserved and is a fantastic acknowledgement of someone who went above and beyond to put the safety of another person first.

Congratulations, Guy, from everyone at GBA Logistics. A truly deserving Road Safety Hero! 🏆👏🏼
