Hereford Pedicabs Ltd is a sustainable, pedal powered, zero emission logistics service, keeping things simple and fun, honest and green. We provide four main services:

Zero emission pedal powered trade waste recycling vehicles. Zero emission pedal powered taxis. Since our launch in April 2007 we've had some great success, transporting thousands of peopl

e, moving hundreds of thousands of items of freight and recycling hundreds of tonnes of waste - all with no emissions. We make an annual saving of over 1000 tonnes of carbon for local businesses and authority. Our achievements have been recognised by the Prince's business awards who have badged us as one of the countries leading carbon positive micro businesses and we also picked up a Pride of Herefordshire award.

🔮There’s a hidden art gallery just behind our yard 🎨

This September, it’s opening its doors as part of h.Art—Herefordshire Art Week.

Steve Bourke has transformed an old industrial building in Sweetmans Yard into Art Asylum: a space filled with nature, colour and light.

For h.Art, it becomes Sanctuary of Stillness—one of 134 venues opening across Herefordshire, featuring work by around 400 artists.

Something BIG has landed in Hereford 🎪

Before The Amp opened, we met with Phil and the Courtyard team to plan the recycling, supply the extra bins and resources they needed, and arrange collections throughout the event.

The Amp is The Courtyard’s incredible new 1,400-seat pop-up venue — bringing bigger shows, brilliant acts and some proper excitement to the city throughout August.

It’s a massive undertaking, and we’re really pleased to be playing a small part behind the scenes.

Vicky popped down to see how everything was working — and we’re pleased to report that it’s all going brilliantly. ♻️🚲

A huge well done to everyone at The Courtyard for making something this ambitious happen right here in Hereford. Now go and see a show!

Hereford Takes 🎥

We popped into Elle Martin Hair & Beauty to get their take on Hereford and hear how they’re getting on in their fantastic new salon. 💅

Elle Martin have been a Pedicargo recycling customer for years, so it’s been brilliant watching the business grow and seeing them move into such an amazing new space.

Pedicargo provides commercial recycling and delivery services for businesses across Hereford using zero-emission cargo bikes, helping local companies reduce waste, carbon emissions and costs.

First the bins, then the beers 🍺♻️

We helped Beer on the Wye with recycling bins for their amazing beer festival.

We also carried out some very serious quality control at the event.

The team dropped the bins off, the festival did its thing, and the recycling came back.

We are happy to report the beer was working!

Same again next year — cheers!

Beryl gets a glow-up 🚲⚡

The scheme is getting an upgrade: brand new Segway e-bikes dropping onto the streets and freshly painted bays.

Since launching in Hereford in 2019, the scheme has been flat out.

The scheme has almost 30,000 active users and since launch they have ridden the best part of 2 million kilometres on Beryl bikes across the city — that’s the same as 50 times around the world!

It’s amazing to see how well-used Beryl is in Hereford.

Here’s to the next 2 million km 🌍

The scheme is run by Beryl for Herefordshire Council. It is delivered by pedicargo with maintenence provided to them by local CiC Hereford Cycle Hub.

🎥 Last month we were proud to support the UK Green Film Festival and send some of the team along to see the films for themselves at The Courtyard Cinema . 🍿

It’s a great example of local organisations working together to make good things happen in Hereford. 💚

Huge thanks to everyone at The Courtyard Hereford for putting the festival together and for everything they do for arts, culture and community life in the city.
