The Helston Railway volunteers have worked wonders since work commenced in April 2005. Starting with a totally overgrown, and in some places impenetrable track bed, the team has cleared and made ready just over a mile down to the formation. Nearly 2/3 mile of new track has been laid, starting at Gansey in the north and travelling south through the Trevarno Estate down towards the original site of

Truthall Halt. Our new Trevarno Station has been constructed within the Trevarno Gardens and we have been granted planning permission to reinstate Truthall Halt.

Due to exciting work going on up the line we'll be operating a shorter service than usual, as far as Trevarno today. Therefore Fares are reduced to £5 for adults and £3 for children. If you've booked online please speak to the ticket office on arrival.

Thanks to all those who have come down so far over the weekend! Unfortunately some of the more exposed exhibits have had to pack away early but we'll still be open with a cheery face for all to visit tomorrow. See you all there!
