Emergency Response | M1 Car Fire Clean-Up 🚧🔥

On Saturday, our were called out to the M1 northbound between Junction 40–41, near Wakefield, following a car fire incident, requiring immediate road surface clean-up.

On arrival, the carriageway was treated with brown sand to absorb spilled fuels, however a full mechanical & chemical clean-up was still required to fully restore the surface to safe working order.

Next, the crew began by carefully removing the contaminated sand & fire debris with our trusty road sweeper unit, ensuring all affected material was safely lifted from the carriageway. Once cleared, we moved into full clean-up operations, applying high-pressure jetting & degreasing treatments to break down remaining oil & fuel residues embedded in the surface.

Lastly the area was given a final thorough clean, removing all loosened material & leaving the carriageway safe & serviceable for traffic flow.

A speedy response, this road was fully cleaned & restored to safe working order on one of the UK’s busiest routes! 💪🚛

Emergency Clean-up | Hydraulic Oil Spill 🚧🧼🫧

Last month, were deployed to a client's site in Runcorn to respond to a hydraulic oil spill, requiring a thorough clean to restore a safe working surface.

Arriving swiftly, the crew set up and began treatment with the application of specialist detergent, allowing it time to break down the contamination. This was followed by high-pressure jetting to lift the oil from the surface.

To ensure maximum safety & grip for the onsite activities, Fuel Safe was then applied & left to settle before being agitated into the surface, targeting any remaining residue. The process was completed with our road sweeper unit, removing all waste & leaving the area clean and safe for continued operations.

A controlled job delivering another top-notch result! 💪🔥

Training with Jon, Stephen settled into things well & built his confidence steadily as the course progressed. He took on guidance, improved his control of the vehicle, & developed solid awareness on the road.

On test day, he kept things composed & delivered a confident drive to secure the pass. Well done, Stephen, it's been a pleasure having you train with us.

Emergency Response | Offal Spill 🚧🧼🫧

This past Sunday, our team were called out to Ross-on-Wye, near the A49 and M50, following a significant offal spill from a truck, creating a challenging and extensive clean-up operation.

On arrival, the crew quickly assessed the scene and began the manual removal of debris, using hand shovelling to clear the bulk of the waste. Due to the large volume and wide spread of the spill, this was a lengthy and demanding process, requiring careful, methodical work to fully clear the carriageway.

Once the majority of the material had been removed, the team moved on to deep cleaning the road surface, carrying out high-pressure jetting and brushing to remove any remaining grime and contamination.

After a long and hard shift, the area was fully cleaned and restored to a safe condition for road users. 💪

Emergency Clean-up | From Slick to Safe 🚜🧼

Last week our team were called out to Brook Lane, Congleton following an incident involving a tractor struck by a car, resulting in a hydraulic oil leak onto the carriageway.

On arrival, the crew quickly coned off the affected area, creating a safe working zone before assessing the extent of the spill. Treatment began with the application of absorbent granules to contain and lift the bulk of the oil. Once saturated, the material was safely removed before deploying a road sweeper to clear any remaining residue and debris from the surface.

To complete the clean-up, we carried out high-pressure jetting and degreasing, breaking down any remaining contamination. A final application of Fuel Safe was then used to restore surface grip and ensure the road was left safe for road users.

A swift, controlled response to minimise risk and return the road to a safe condition. 💪🚜
