Emergency Response | Offal Spill 🚧🧼🫧

This past Sunday, our team were called out to Ross-on-Wye, near the A49 and M50, following a significant offal spill from a truck, creating a challenging and extensive clean-up operation.

On arrival, the crew quickly assessed the scene and began the manual removal of debris, using hand shovelling to clear the bulk of the waste. Due to the large volume and wide spread of the spill, this was a lengthy and demanding process, requiring careful, methodical work to fully clear the carriageway.

Once the majority of the material had been removed, the team moved on to deep cleaning the road surface, carrying out high-pressure jetting and brushing to remove any remaining grime and contamination.

After a long and hard shift, the area was fully cleaned and restored to a safe condition for road users. 💪

Emergency Clean-up | From Slick to Safe 🚜🧼

Last week our team were called out to Brook Lane, Congleton following an incident involving a tractor struck by a car, resulting in a hydraulic oil leak onto the carriageway.

On arrival, the crew quickly coned off the affected area, creating a safe working zone before assessing the extent of the spill. Treatment began with the application of absorbent granules to contain and lift the bulk of the oil. Once saturated, the material was safely removed before deploying a road sweeper to clear any remaining residue and debris from the surface.

To complete the clean-up, we carried out high-pressure jetting and degreasing, breaking down any remaining contamination. A final application of Fuel Safe was then used to restore surface grip and ensure the road was left safe for road users.

A swift, controlled response to minimise risk and return the road to a safe condition. 💪🚜

Emergency Response | M1 Lorry Fire Clean-Up 🚧🔥

Last week were called out to the M1 between Junction 39–40 near Wakefield following a serious lorry fire incident, requiring immediate clean-up.

On arrival, the crew assessed the affected lane, with the carriageway already closed by National Highways, before beginning works to make the area safe. Fire-related debris was removed first using hand shovels & manual clearance methods to clear the worst of the damage. Once safe to proceed, we moved into full clean-up operations, deploying high-pressure jetting & degreasing treatments to remove oil & diesel contamination from the carriageway.

A road sweeper was then used to complete a thorough surface clean, ensuring all remaining residue and loose material was removed, supporting the temporary restoration of the affected lane, allowing traffic management operations to continue safely.

Due to the severity of the fire damage & surface degradation, the lane ultimately required full resurfacing works to permanently reinstate the affected section.

Interceptor Tank Emptying | Runcorn 🚛🛠️

Yesterday afternoon arrived swiftly on site in Runcorn to carry out the emptying of an underground interceptor system ahead of cleaning and inspection.

The crew began by cordoning off the work area at the first access point, establishing a safe & controlled zone before setting up our artic tanker unit. A suction hose was then carefully lowered into the tank, with the team monitoring levels throughout as the liquids were steadily extracted & transferred into the tanker.

Once the first section was fully emptied, checks were carried out to ensure all contents had been removed before the crew relocated to the second access point. The same process was repeated; setting up the tanker, positioning the hose, and methodically pumping out the remaining liquids while maintaining a clean & safe working area throughout.

Now, with the tank cleared, this interceptor was left fully emptied & ready for inspection. Another job completed efficiently & without disruption. 💪

Last week, were onsite delivering for a project for West Bridgford Landscaping Ltd.
