HOW HAS IT BEEN ANOTHER 2 WEEKS!

Without sharing every gory detail of our personal lives, we are so busy with everything we seem to be blinking and the days are just gone!

This year had all the ups and downs, amazing music, and back stage drama, an unfinished site, but filled with amazing people! What we think was our best site plan, amazing traders and food vendors and so much fun enjoyed by everyone.

We added in free entertainment for you all which is always a risk as it’s not cheap, but the racing sim, circus skills and van graffiti show were used a lot so it was totally worth the extra expense, then there was the dog show! Wow it was awesome so many of you and your four legged friends joined in and we had an absolute blast.

We have wanted to get this figure to you sooner, however there was a large service that we were just not happy with. We thought this could be dealt with swiftly an amicably, but alas this has not been the case and it is going to drag out for some time by the looks of it which is really disappointing for us.

We are working behind the scenes to find a new venue, we have 3 in the pipeline and we just need to arrange site visits to make sure they’re the perfect fit for slumber.

The dates for next year are 6-8th of August, get them in your diary now! Once we have finalised the venue tickets will be on sale.

We would love to hear your feedback, good or bad, we always like to take on your thoughts so we can improve and be better year after year, so don’t hold back, your feedback of our festival is so important to us.

There is also one thing for sure and that’s ticket prices, we have kept them very affordable for a long time now, we strive on giving you the big gig feel on a budget price. We are able to do this because so many of our volunteers, musicians, wellness practitioners etc all come for free and do what they love to make our festival amazing, if we had to pay them all our ticket prices would be up to and over £200 for a family of 4 where we have been keeping it well below that. We will have to increase ticket sales next year but we will be keeping them at the most reasonable around for an event of this size.

For those who have messaged asking if we’re ok as they haven’t seen anything even on our personal facebooks, don’t panic, I’ve been using an app called Be Present which helps controls your screen time and I’ve found out that I spend far to many hours on Facebook and have been taking some time away, our lives are still spinning at a million miles per hour, I’m just not sticking it all on Facebook.

We had an absolute blast this year as we always do and apart from the usual back stage drama that we have to deal with like one of us being in the hospital every day on the run up to the festival with either badly timed important appointments or just being bitten by a dog (off site) and needing a trip to a&e, bands not turning up, the wind blowing everyone’s stalls over chasing crucial paperwork down and missing our friends wedding for the greater good of the festival, it was still another amazing year of Slumber.

This year we have raised a much better amount than last year which we are super pleased with, even with the extra free entertainment and ever increasing costs. We are really pleased to announce that we have raised £1872.64 for our charity Bearded Fishermen Charity - Mental Health and Su***de Prevention

Again thank you each and every one of you for bringing your fantastic energy to our festival and helping us make it what it is. We honestly can’t thank you all enough for being a part of it.

Don’t forget we would love your feedback good or bad and you can just comment here, inbox the page or email us on [email protected]

Thank you again for another amazing year and keep your eyes peeled on the page so you don’t miss out on our new venue announcement.

Hey everyone, wow!
We can’t believe it’s been two weeks!
We are still waiting on some paperwork coming through so we can settle up our final bills. However you guys are waiting so we will put the money to one side and get the final counting done over the rest of the weekend.
It’s our wedding anniversary today, so heading out for a meal then tomorrow we will get that final figure you’ve all been waiting for.
Thank you all so much again, we hope you all had a blast and we can’t wait to share our plans for Slumber27!

People always say, thank you to Kerri and myself for putting on the festival, but in reality we are a very small piece in a huge puzzle!

Without this awesome team, we would just be two people crying in a field!

Without the traders and food vendors we would be 2 hungry people crying in a field.

Without the musicians we would be two bored people crying in a field.

And without you guys buying tickets we would be two bankrupt people crying in a field.

What I’m trying to say is, yes we may lay the foundations for the festival, but every single person that comes through the gate brings a building block with them to make sure it’s a success.

Without everyone else on site, we are just 2 people and 2 people can’t put on a festival.

A visual representation of tiredness levels over the weekend starting with a colossal (almost) 40,000 steps! Which equates to around 17-19 miles and a total of 125,000 steps which is 55-60 miles, that’s over 2 marathons 😂

Having a well earned day laid in bed watching crap on Netflix while Kerri started her new job and went out to work this morning. No idea how she did it!
