Last week, the workshop moved outdoors as preparations for the season continued! ☀️⛵

Ian pulled out Janet 3, which had been taking up for a week, allowing the wood of the hull to swell once more, so she could be antifouled by Steve while Arlen was busy fitting the bin iron.

With plenty of hard work and attention to detail from the team, Janet 3 was looking smarter by the minute and ready for her first hire of the season the following week.

There's always plenty happening behind the scenes to make sure our boats are in top condition and ready for our guests to enjoy the Broads. 🚤🌿

June is one of the most beautiful times to enjoy a boating holiday on the Norfolk Broads. 🌿⛵

As the waterways come alive with summer colour, there's an incredible variety of wildlife to spot from the comfort of your boat. Keep an eye out for kingfishers darting across the water, marsh harriers soaring overhead, herons standing watch along the banks, and perhaps even an otter if you're lucky! 🦆🦅

This is Jason sanding Janet III last week as we begin making her beautiful on the outside ready for the coming Season. She has waited patiently over the winter and has recently been receiving lots of TLC in anticipation of getting back out on the water once again. ⛵☀️

This is Norman fixing a gearbox on Tumblehome last week — one of the many behind-the-scenes jobs that keeps everything running smoothly here at Martham Boats.

Our Engineering Department works hard all year round to make sure the fleet is ready for all our lovely customers to enjoy this coming season on the Norfolk Broads. 🌊☀️
