It’s been a mega busy week so far and there are still lots of jobs to do. Thanks to everyone that has booked me and to those that continue to use my services and recommend me to others. It really is appreciated.

Just to confirm - I mainly cater for small moves, collections and deliveries.
I am not currently doing rubbish clearances or scrap. There are plenty of others doing that and I can recommend others for those services.
I like to keep my van clean if I am moving or collecting goods for customers.

So, today I unintentionally kidnapped someone!
Customer contacts me asking if I can collect 2 x Sofas. She says her son will help me lift them if needed and gives me the collection address.
I go to the address and I’m met by a guy who helps me load the sofas into the van.
“Do you want to jump in with me?” I ask.
“Er, yeah, I can do.” replies the guy, looking confused.
We travel to the delivery address and have a good chat (I’m still none the wiser).
As we approach the address, I notice a young guy waiting outside, obviously ready to help me with the sofas.
It’s then that I realise that my passenger is the seller and NOT the buyers son!
“Well, that was a nice little drive, wasn’t it” I said.
Thankfully, my hostage saw the funny side.

Lots of customers have asked me various questions regarding the name ‘One Step Beyond’. Yes, it is because I like Ska and also Madness, and it’s also because I was a DJ for many years. The main reason is because a very nice lady who was my first customer said that my service went “above and beyond”.
