We are a husband and wife team who have been running the boathouse since 2000. We have holiday boats for weekend, short break and weekly hire allowing you to cruise the beautiful River Wey. If you are going for a week you may wish to visit the River Thames. Norseman, Roman, Saxon, Viking and Dot are our purpose build day narrow boats. Each boat holds a maximum of ten people and are available for s
elf drive day hire. We offer full tuition so don't panic if you have never tried it before, you'll soon get the hang of it! You will need to book in advance as they are very popular. If you have a specific date in mind, don't delay ring us today to check for availability. Traditionally Farncombe Boat House has always offered rowboats, punts and canoes for hire, but since 2020 we have been unable to offer this because of lack of dredging. This is a matter completely out of our control and we have no idea if or when this will be resolved, so sadly this is a service we are longer able to provide. Previously boats could be hired by the hour and on occasions when we ran out during busy periods and a boat wasn’t available straight away, you could always have a drink, an ice-cream and wait on the lawn or have a bite to eat at "Hectors on the Wey" while you waited-Happy days, but sadly without dredging, this is a pass time of past times here at Farncombe Boat house- very sad indeed. For the private boaters we have a recreational mooring island. It's at the end of the island so is away from the road and the boathouse - a lovely private oasis with water and electric points and an engineer is usually around if required.
