This Cedar strip Canoe is being built for a Customer in Lothian. This is a real classic design with that has been around for many years. Ill be building it with some of the most beautiful Western Red Cedar that I have imported from Canada, and some ash from Govan Parish church for the stems and paddles. Jonny

We have both been a bit quiet recently, Lots of summer demonstration work to prepare for, and we've been trying to get ourselves and our crew in order for the St Ayles Skiff world championships.
Big news this week is that Osprey the Motor Launch went back to her owner yesterday, so she will be back in the water in the next few days to take up. Watch this space for a shot of her on the water...

The DCMS are currently proposing dropping craft from their list of creative industries. "We recognise that high-end craft occupations contain a creative element, but the view is that in the main, that these roles are more concerned with the manufacturing process, rather than the creative process."
