As a bit of Friday Fun, let us introduce you to the latest team member joining Hello Scotland!

He’s a high flyer with a super keen eye for detail.
He’s sure to lift our spirits and provide us with helpful (air) support.
Perched at the top of our hierarc-tree – he may very well ruffle a feather or two – he’s our very own Hello Scotland Eagle!!

The only problem is…. our newest team member doesn’t have a name, so…

We know travel from Australia to Scotland has been extra difficult recently but Australia officially opened it’s borders this week and we couldn’t be happier so let's say a big virtual ‘g’day’ to Tamara Kobiolke and her agency Numinous Luxury Travel Representation who are our wonderful sales representatives across Australia and New Zealand.

It’s no secret that us Scots are an inventive bunch. But just how much have Scottish inventions impacted your daily life?

Well, when you got up this morning and checked your phone - we wouldn’t be in the age of the smart phone if Alexander Graham Bell hadn’t invented the first ever telephone.

Head to your FRIDGE for breakfast? Put some bread in the TOASTER? We invented both of those!

Get ready for the day, and put in your CONTACT LENSES? Daily Disposables were invented in Scotland!

Head to work on the TRAIN? We invented the first ever steam engine.

Picked up some cash from an ATM? That was us!

Sipping coffee from a VACUUM FLASK? Scottish Invention!

And after that coffee, a little trip to the FLUSHING TOILET? The S bend was invented by a Scottish mechanic.

And what about afterwork when it’s time to relax? We invented the TELEVISION too!

(And lets not forget about MRI scans, tarmac, penicillin, sheep cloning, colour photographs or the kaleidoscope too!)
