Retirement Spotlight | Alick Neish

After 24 years with Gray & Adams, we recently said goodbye to Alick Neish as he retired from his role as a Welder Fabricator at our Fraserburgh depot. Throughout his time with the company, Alick was a valued member of the team, he appreciated the great colleagues and supportive management that made Gray & Adams such a nice place to work.

As he begins this next chapter, Alick is looking forward to keeping busy by making furniture and putting his hands-on skills to good use. We thank Alick for his commitment and dedication over the years and wish him all the very best in his retirement.

With our long‑established Doncaster depot, Gray & Adams is delighted to work alongside the Bentley and Scawthorpe community, supporting initiatives that bring people together and leave a lasting, positive impact.

In 2025, we were pleased to support the Bentley Area Community Partnership (BACuP) helping extend their reach across the ward, from commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII with poppy displays throughout Bentley, to funding festive activities at the Bentley Park Christmas Fair and lights switch‑on, creating special moments for hundreds of local children and families. Thank you to BACUP and the dedicated volunteers who make such a difference year‑round.

As Gray & Adams continues to grow, attracting people who share our values and take a long‑term, relationship‑led approach to business remains central to everything we do. We were delighted to welcome Grant Gillies to the team earlier this year, joining us at our Doncaster depot.

Grant joins us with experience in the dry freight trailer sector and was drawn to Gray & Adams by our strong reputation, consultative approach to sales, and family‑owned culture. His role covers rigids, trailers, and double decks, giving him the opportunity to develop a broad understanding across our product range while supporting customers with tailored solutions.

Since joining, Grant has spoken highly of the support he’s received from colleagues, suppliers, and customers alike, as well as the trust and inclusivity that define life at Gray & Adams. A recent visit to our headquarters in Fraserburgh further reinforced that sense of welcome and connection.

Built around safety, efficiency and compliance, this fleet showcases our consultative approach, collaborating closely with AAH to deliver tailored solutions, innovative safety features and long-term durability for a highly regulated environment.
