Bodinnick Ferry

The Bodinnick to Fowey car ferry provides easy access between mid and east Cornwall. It is ideal for day trips between Looe or Polperro in East Cornwall and Fowey and further down to west Cornwall. For walkers it provides access in particular to the Hall Walk starting or ending in Bodinnick. The car ferry operates all year with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. However

, a passenger service is available on Boxing Day and New Year's Day. The ferry can carry up to 15 cars at a time and provides a continuous service leaving every 10 - 15 minutes during hours of operation. The ferry can also accommodate foot passengers, cycles, motor homes, mini buses and small lorries to a maximum of 10 tons. We are unable to carry coaches due their size and the tight bend in the road on the Bodinnick side. To access the ferry from Fowey please follow signs from the roundabout at the outskirts of the town to the car ferry or make your way to Caffa Mill Car Park. The slipway for the ferry is next to the car park and the entrance is marked on the road. From the east follow signs for Bodinnick or Fowey via Ferry, as you approach Bodinnick you will see warning signs for the ferry queue.
