We have been working with and their amazing Jekko SPX650 spider crane, to assist in a complicated engine lift.

With our main workshop full, we required a light weight crane to be able to cross our neighbours driveway and the beach to reach the vessel while still being able to achieve a 2.4ton engine lift at full extension.

Our paint team were tasked with polishing the bronze propellers, rudders and p brackets on this motor yacht. They did such a good job you could almost see your face in them!

The benefits of having polished stern gear are that it helps to maintain efficiency and reduces drag. Regular cleaning also prevents the build up of corrosive elements that could cause pitting and other forms of corrosion, helping them to last longer.

If you are interested in maintaining the under water area of your vessel, drop us an email on [email protected]

A commercial fishing boat came to us with water coming in through its stern tube. To fix the problem, the engineers removed the engine and stern gear, carried out necessary repairs, reconnected the systems and realigned the drive train before launching and sea trialling to make sure the leak had been fixed. Once launched, the fishing boat went straight back to work.

Over time, skin fittings can deteriorate. While servicing the seacocks on a Sealine F45/5, our shipwright discovered that some of the skin fittings were heavily corroded. We called the owner about the issue, who was delighted that we had caught the problem and was happy for us to rectify the fitting and anymore that we found.

The shipwright then used a Dremel to remove the skin fitting and replaced it with new before connecting it to a new seacock and hose.

If you are in need of your seacocks or skin fittings serviced, give us a call on 01326 374309.
