Congratulations to Corey Cross, the winner of the guess how many sweets in the jar competition. His guess was 256 and the amount was 300.

He said he will brush his teeth and will share the sweets with his brother Ollie and mum Lizzy.

Great news! You can now visit Harriet, Spirit of Fleetwood in her new home at Fleetwood Museum Trust & Friends 🧡💙

Kids go free for the whole of August!

Did you miss Harriet’s debut at Fleetwood Festival of Transport? Or would you like a closer look at the stunning detail on her skirt, scarf and her beautiful face?

Well you can now go and see her in her new home at Fleetwood Museum Trust & Friends. Very fittingly she is alongside The Harriet - the inspiration for her name and decoration colours.

This will be her home when she’s not out and about flying the flag for Fleetwood.

And don’t forget entry to the museum is completely free for kids during August!

FREE shuttle bus to the market to replace the tram service in Fleetwood.

If you're travelling to Fleetwood today, our FREE tram replacement shuttle bus is running between Fisherman’s Walk and Fleetwood Market from 10am–3:15pm. This means you can still access Fleetwood's shops, market and key locations while tram services are disrupted 🚍🙌
Running every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in partnership with Wyre Council.

If you don't think something is working tell us why and what you'd like to see. Or if you absolutely love something and want to see more of it, again tell us why.

Fleetwood Festival of Transport Directors and committee members would like to thank EVERYONE who was involved with or supported Fleetwood Festival of Transport 2026.

-Our volunteers who work tirelessly on the day - the festival literally couldn’t happen without you

-The zone leaders

-RSS for providing and putting the road closures and safety barriers in place

- Event Management and Training for first aid services

- Fleetwood Area Police for keeping an eye on things

-Police Cadets for helping with the parade

-Our brilliant in house artist Janine Walker for creating Harriet, Spirit of Fleetwood (with support from Emma Clarke) PLUS new parade art

-Everyone who took part in the community parade - we'll need to do a separate post for that!

-Top DJ and compere Joe Mansell for entertaining the crowds at festival control

- Des Basterfield for co-ordinating the Song Smith Stage (Electric Pink Voices, Lucas Williams Music and Des Songsmith And The Flat Cap 3 were all terrific).

-The Wyre Council clean-up crew emptying the bins and keeping the town tidy

-North Euston Fleetwood and Glazey Days for allowing us to host meetings at their premises

-The vehicle owners and car clubs

-Our brilliant street theatre performers

-All retailers, charity stalls and food vendors

-Local businesses and organisations that chose to open and embrace the spirit of the day with your own fringe events

-The sun for shining all day! ☀️☀️☀️

And most of all we want to thank locals and visitors for your support. It's not a festival without you. We love seeing your photos and videos from the day and the messages of thanks we've received really do mean a lot.

Obviously with a festival of this size we can’t please everyone but we do listen and take everything on board to try and make changes in future. We’re all ears to feedback of every type and everyone is more than welcome to attend meetings and volunteer with us at this and the other events we put on throughout the year. These are always advertised on our social media.

We’re very proud of the festival we’ve put on this year without council funding and with the small matter of the fire on Lord Street to deal with. We were determined to make sure this important and much loved community event still went ahead and we appreciate your patience while we figured things out in the lead up and for your cooperation on the day using the pedestrian crossing safely.
