Coastal Global has gone GREEN!

Here at CGS we are looking to increase the use of renewable energy sources.

First step was to change 4 of our fleet of gas guzzlers to 4 fully electric forklifts which produce Zero emissions during operation to significantly reduce our overall carbon footprint. 🌿🌱⚡️🔋

- Container Lifting & Storage

The Role of Transport Administrator

- Contacting Customers and shipping
lines to obtain releases and confirm
restitutions
- Updating systems to show when the
containers have been released and
returned
- Inputting jobs into their transport
system
- Booking appointments on VBS
(Vehicle Booking System)
- Booking drivers in at their depot for
deliveries and collections
- Checking progress with drivers on
expected delivery times
- Ensuring all administration and office
tasks are completed accurately and in a
timely manner
- Supporting the team in the running of
the day to day operations
- Communicating and resolving problems
in a cost-effective and timely manner
- Providing excellent customer service to
our clients
- Working well as part of a team and
continually improving processes

What are the requirements to be successful as a Transport Administrator?

- You will have excellent communication
skills, spoken and written
- Build good working relationships with
work colleagues and our customers
- Excellent attention to detail, friendly
and helpful nature
- Proactive, Good timekeeping, and
enthusiastic
- Strong PC Literacy including Word &
Excel

The ideal person will have around 1 to 2 years of experience in the logistics sector.

- Knowledge of Destin8, VBS system &
similar for the Ports of Felixstowe
- Knowledge of TOPS (Transport
Operations & Processing System)

(knowledge preferred but not essential)
