If you have not already taken a look at the proposed residential development on Ordnance Wharf, at the top of the Basin (behind Morrisons), please do.
If at any time you have supported the Trust's vision for a regeneration of the boat-based activity in the Creek and in particular in the Basin, this is a matter of grave concern.
Please do look, and respond to the invitation to submit your views.. .the deadline is next Monday.
The Trust is objecting - we have never thought that is a suitable site for residential development - not least because of access problems and flood risk, and because we think it would effectively destroy our whole project. If that site goes for expensive housing so will all the adjoining sites.
Go to https://swale.gov.uk/planningsearch/ and put in Ordnance Wharf.
Here's a reminder of what we have always had in mind....

Kayaking is an excellent sport and especially good for upper body exercise, including core strength. I have a couple of Gavin Atkin designed Mouse Boats available for the price of a donation to Boat Building Experience - they are easy for one to carry, simple to launch and great fun to paddle. Suitable only for flat water, creek or small lakes (ie not sea-going) and suit persons up to 14 stone (88.9kg). These boats are completed and unused but will need a bit of varnish or paint to finish. PM me for details and if still available!

PLUS the launch of the two new BoatCamp skiffs onto the Basin by the bridge, between 1.30 & 2pm on Sunday. These are being built by Abbey School students as part of the 2018 BoatCamp this week!
