Walkthrough our Mobile Welfare Unit with Carl 👏

The RSF Mobile+ is a popular, flexible hire unit designed for use on building sites. The unit is spacious and designed to accommodate eight people in the main area, with additional space for two in a separate office.

It is equipped with essential amenities, including a sink, microwave, oven, fridge, and a kettle. Users can utilise electrical sockets and USB ports to power laptops and other devices, allowing for flexibility in where they choose to work.

The unit features a fully functioning, flushable built-in toilet, which is a HSE benefit compared to traditional chemical toilets.

A dedicated area houses the engine and serves as a drying room, allowing for the drying of overalls during wetter months.

Behind the Scenes: Solar-Powered Comfort. 🏗️⚡

We’re going behind the scenes on a Mitchell Design Site with DDL Group to look at the sustainable site welfare set-up.

Our solar-powered welfare units are currently supporting operations in Dover, offering a sustainable way to provide heat, power, and hot water.

Over about 3.5 months, the diesel generator would normally have run continuously, burning thousands of litres of fuel.
But with the Solar Pod hybrid unit:

🔋 91% reduction in generator running hours - reduction of 2,355 generator running hours.
☀️ By using the Solar Pod, over £28k was saved in fuel costs.
♻️ Nearly 62 tonnes of CO₂ emissions were avoided.

As we move into summer, the increase in daylight allows our sustainable units to harness even more renewable energy, providing efficient, eco-friendly power for your site welfare facilities.
