Started in 1995, Countywide Travel was a bus and coach operator based at a depot near Basingstoke Railway station and serviced parts of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. In 1998, Countywide Travel relocated to the depot of the former operator Oakley Coaches. In October 2007, Countywide Travel sold the coach side of their business to concentrate on their bus operations and changed the company name to Fleet Buzz. Up until currently (November 2014), Stagecoach has kept Fleet Buzz as a separate identity. Fleet Buzz are getting a new fleet of (second hand) buses from Stagecoach in Manchester and Birmingham to replace their current fleet in April 2015. They will no longer be branded as Fleet Buzz and will share the identity of Stagecoach South. When Fleet Buzz make this change, they will also be moving where they are based at from their current depot in Farnham to the Stagecoach Aldershot depot.

Please help our campaign - We have only 10 weeks to go!

Buses in Fleet need your help to continue spreading the word, encouraging more local residents to respond and share their feedback to help gather the evidence to support our proposal for a new bus service. The first part of our campaign to find this evidence will end on the 31st August 2024. The second part of our campaign will then focus with influencing local bus operators and decision makers.

Hello all,

The Fleet Buzz/Countywide Travel page has been dedicated to remember the old buses around the Fleet area for many years now.

However, with increased activity from the Fleet Buzz/Countywide Travel Facebook group, that is now being treated as the primary discussion forum for Fleet Buzz matters. As such, it has become more and more the case that the page duplicates the need for posts and updates on Fleet Buzz discussions, to the point where it just reposts content already mentioned, and most people who like the posts here are also members of the Facebook Group anyway.

Because of these reasons, the decision has been taken to retire this page. Our Facebook group, which for those who haven't done so, are still open for anyone to join on Fleet Buzz (Countywide Travel) 1995-2015 Enthusiasts Group, and will NOT be retired, so "business as usual" so to speak. We won't be deleting this page, so archived posts are ensured to remain here. Thank you all, and I hope you understand the decision.

Another one bites the dust - Aldershot Bus Station, which had been frequented by Fleet Buzz buses for most of its existence, will be closing by May 2023, and replaced by a new station forecourt. An end of an era for a notable destination.

Aldershot Station Rail and Bus Interchange – Update

• Rail/Bus Interchange scheme at Aldershot Railway Station is due to start around May 23, linked to redevelopment of the site of the Aldershot Bus Station.

• There is an associated piece of work to revise the bus-stopping arrangements in Aldershot town centre.
