The team based at MB92 Barcelona recently carried out a health check on a HPU on board a yacht.

Armada were asked to perform a pump test on a yacht’s centralised HPU. Using flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature sensors and a datalogger both pumps were tested, the findings were reported back to the chief engineer.

Armada recommend this kind of health check of your systems pumps to be carried out annually. This gives the opportunity to discover a potential failing pump and allow a plan to be put in place to prevent it from a complete failure in future. This leads to a proactive maintenance schedule rather than a reactive one, giving you piece of mind while out on the water.
