You know what I bloody hate!? The sheer amount of phone calls I get from "lead generation" companies.

Promising if I sign up to them they have 100s of jobs that need covering for the people of Fakenham.

Honestly don't indulge these companies, contact a local removal company direct, using these "removal directory" type companies is just going to cost you more and they will sell your removal to the cheapest person they can find whilst keeping a sweet percentage for themselves for doing bu**er all.

Most reputable local movers refuse to pay these scalpers so you're left with the ones that are desperate for the work.

Sorry for the rant I'm just sick of local people being ripped off by middle men, and getting a shoddy service (if they even turn up)

Prime example - we did a move a while back into a house but the previous owner hadn't moved out, I got chatting to her and this is the same company that advertise as the uk's biggest removal company despite not owning a single van. Eventually when the lads turned up in a dpd van (they really do just send any van) they were 6 hours late and unfortunately as they did not speak English the customer was unable to communicate the job requirements and most of it got left on the driveway in the rain.

Moving house is one of the biggest days of your life, do it properly and have some respect for your customers.

"My work place in Kings Lynn were moving venues and we were assessing different moving companies; Vantastic were by far the best priced, replied very quick and super helpful with questions and logistics. I am so glad we went with them, everything was made easy & simple - and the guys are a great team together! They moved everything into storage units for us, and then a month later at quite late notice they were able to squeeze us in to pick belongings up again from the units to move into the new venue. It was super efficient and the guys are really lovely and positive, I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their service. Thank you again guys!"

Just realised I've been a bit quiet on here, we've got the typical February blues, removals is a hard business at any time of the year but jan/February always hit a bit harder with icy mornings, muddy shoes and decreased demand. We are keeping busy enough but do still have plenty of availability for the rest of the month should you need any moving, packing or clearing!

It's been a while since I've posted any personal updates so here's a picture of me with the Vantastic junior team and Mrs Vantastic.

If you wonder why i look 10 years older than i did when you last saw me, its because sleep isn't a thing in our house anymore, oh and Mrs Vantastic decided we also needed a puppy.
