The airport is five miles from the city of Exeter and is situated adjacent to the A30, close to junction 29 of the M5 motorway. Group announced their acquisition of Exeter Airport on 26 June 2013 from Balfour Beatty, who were the owners following the sale of the airport by Devon County Council in January 2007. The Management Team, together with over 250 members of staff, oversee the daily running of the airport. The IATA code is used for airline timetables, reservations, and baggage tags.
