Depending how long you've got there's a return ticket or an all day ticket for unlimited rides.

It's the railway sounds that feel so nostalgic. 🚂
The whistle in the distance. The chug chug building as it comes round the bend. The hiss of steam as it slows into the station.
Then once in your seat, the gentle rhythm of the clickety-clack soothes as it sets off with the Vale of Evesham opening out beside you.

Have you met Joyce yet?

Joyce is our newest engine — a diesel hydraulic locomotive, built in Hastings in 2021 and named after the owner's grandma. She arrived at Valley Railway in late 2024 and has quickly become a firm favourite with the drivers.

On Wednesdays when the steam engines take a well-earned rest, Joyce is usually the one looking after you.

Come and make your own mind up.

Looking for a birthday that's a little different?

Book a party train ride at Valley Railway Adventure. Bring your own packed lunch to eat on board or at the play fort picnic area. Plenty of fresh air, space to run and a narrow gauge engine doing something no party bag ever will.

And when the train's done, Aztec Lost Valley high ropes and adventure golf are right next door — plus over 25 shops and cafes five minutes away at The Valley.

The ticket office remodel is done — and yes, there is now a coffee machine. Grab-and-go ice creams and lollies too.

Last train of half term today.

Somewhere out there, someone's driving home with a souvenir in a small hand and the memory of a narrow gauge engine disappearing into a tunnel.

That's a good week.

Thank you to every family who joined us — and to everyone at The Valley who made it such a brilliant place to visit this half term.

This weekend, something special is happening at our sister railway in the Forest of Dean.

The Fifteen Inch Frontier Weekend arrives at Perrygrove Railway Adventure on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May — and it's worth the drive.

Visiting locomotives from across the country, including the rare Cagney of 1904 on one of its few trips away from home. Classic cars. Wild West cultural displays. Big flavours from the Stateside menu at Sophie's Saloon.

Open 10am–5pm both days. Advance booking is highly recommended.

Halfway through half term — a good moment to introduce someone.

Meet St Egwin. Built in 2003 by Exmoor Steam Railway, St Egwin is one of the few tender engines they've ever made. Designed to resemble 'The Bug' — a well-known engine at Romney in Kent. Don't let the resemblance fool you. St Egwin is deceptively powerful and has surprised visitors at railways across the country.

If once isn't enough today — it never is — a day pass gives you unlimited rides. Hop on, hop off, race the train back, hop on again. The shops at The Valley and Aztec Lost Valley are right there when you need a break between rides.
