✈️ OUT OF OFFICE… SORT OF! 🇨🇻

🇨🇻 Next week I’ll be out of the office Monday–Friday on a work trip with easyJet holidays, exploring the island of Sal in Cape Verde!

I know… it’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it 😂☀️

Cape Verde captured hearts this summer, for being the smallest country to reach the knockout stages of the World Cup! They were undefeated in the group stages, kept Spain at bay & took Argentina to extra time- not forgetting the 40 year old goalie! ⚽️

Cape Verde is special because it’s a unique volcanic archipelago that blends African, Portuguese, and Brazilian roots. The 2 tourist islands of Sal and Boa Vista are known for flat, sun-scorched terrain, endless white-sand beaches, and turquoise waters ideal for kite surfing ☀️

Cape Verde is another new destination for me and, as always, these trips are such a great way for me to keep improving my knowledge, see things first-hand and make sure I can give you personal recommendations — especially when it comes to which hotels will suit which customers.

While I’m there I’ll be visiting 12 different hotels across the island, with a really good mixture of:

✈️ FOLLOW IN MY FOOTSTEPS… KOS 🇬🇷

This one’s a little bit different because I’ve literally just got back from here this weekend! 💗

My in-laws were in Kos celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in the same resort and accommodation they’ve been going back to every September for the last 25 years… so we decided to surprise them and turn up on Thursday! 🥹

They had absolutely no idea we were coming, so we got to spend their anniversary and the weekend with them, which was really special.

We stayed just down the road at Yiannis The Beekeeper Apartments and I was really impressed.

The apartments were modern, family ran, well located and close to everything. There’s a pool, bar and food available too. We didn’t really use the self-catering facilities because we wanted to meet up with my in-laws and go out for meals.

And there are loads of places to eat nearby, some stunning restaurants, we ate really well all weekend! 🇬🇷🍴

There’s plenty to do around the area too. We…

🏖️ Spent a day at Bubble Beach, which was gorgeous
⚓ Had a wander around the harbour
🏘️ Went up to the little village inland
🚶‍♀️ Walked along the main resort area
🍴 Tried lots of different bars and restaurants

You could easily spend a week here without needing to go far, but if you do want to explore more of Kos, hiring a car or quads is really easy. I’ve been many times and always somewhere new to explore

You can head up to Zia for those gorgeous sunset views and cobbled streets, spend a day in Kos Town, explore more beaches and villages… and I’ve now got plenty of ideas if you want some recommendations!

✈️ FOLLOW IN MY FOOTSTEPS… NEXT STOP: COPENHAGEN 🇩🇰🎄

I went to Copenhagen last year for the Christmas markets and it honestly exceeded all expectations. I absolutely loved it! 💗

It’s such an easy city to explore, loads to do, gorgeous at Christmas and just has such a lovely feel to it.

Why I loved it…

🚲 You can hire a bike and cycle pretty much everywhere — such a fun way to see the city
🎄 Wandering around the Christmas markets and trying all the street food
🛥️ We did a canal tour which was a brilliant way to see loads of the sights
💂 Watched the Changing of the Guard
🎢 Visited Tivoli Gardens for the rides, even more Christmas markets and, obviously, more food 😂
☕ Sat at colourful Nyhavn with a hot chocolate, wrapped up in blankets — proper Copenhagen vibes!
🚆 The airport transfer is so easy by train too, so no need to spend a fortune on taxis
🇸🇪 And you can even jump on the train to Malmö in Sweden and tick off 2 cities in one trip!

✈️ FOLLOW IN MY FOOTSTEPS… FIRST STOP: RHODES 🇬🇷

Cook’s Club Ialysos 💗

I stayed here with 2 other couples and we absolutely loved it. It’s adults only, so such a good choice for a couples getaway or a group of friends wanting a few days in the sun.

And if you like your holidays to come with some VERY good Instagram backdrops… this one delivers 😂📸 The whole place is modern, stylish and seriously dreamy.

Why I loved it…

✨ Modern, trendy decor with comfy beds and beanbags dotted around the pool
✈️ A nice short transfer from the airport
🍴 Really lovely food for lunch and dinner — and reasonably priced too
🍸 Fab cocktails, with a resident mixologist
🎧 DJs around the pool in the afternoons plus evening events
🚌 Really easy to hop on the bus into Rhodes Town for a wander through the cobbled streets, dinner and a night out

We also hired quads for the day and explored loads of the island — Lindos, Kallithea Springs and Anthony Quinn Bay were all on our list. Such a good way to see more than just the hotel!

We genuinely loved our stay here… so obviously I’ve found you a deal. 👀👇
