Warehouse Operative (full time)
This is a great opportunity to join our friendly, family business and warehouse team.
We are looking to offer this position to a hardworking, reliable individual who is keen to learn new skills and committed to progressing within the business.
The job requires a good level of fitness and strength for manual lifting.
Experience in the industry is not essential and progressive training will be offered to the successful candidate, including manual handling, pedestrian truck and forklift truck training.
Our company has been in operation for over 20 years and the majority of our team are long standing and loyal employees. We want to continue this successful, cohesive and friendly working environment, to enhance and expand our team.
Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Fridays - 12:00pm start to approximately 6:00pm - 6:30pm.
Sunday, 9:00am start to approximately 3:30pm
(finish times may vary).
Days / hours are negotiable.
Unlike many other employers, we pay a generous FIXED WEEKLY SALARY, Additional hours may also be available.
Duties:
o Picking orders of produce in the warehouse and refrigerated storage from load sheets.
o Consolidating orders on to pallets, securing and moving pallets.
o Loading and unloading of goods.
o Checking incoming stocks, referencing and stock taking.
o Communicating with customers where required.
Skills/Qualifications:
o Able to work as part of a team and independently.
o Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
o Organisation and planning skills.
o Good communication skills, English speaking, reading and writing.
o Good time management and prioritising skills.
o Conscientious and accurate.
o Reliable, trustworthy and hardworking.
o Forklift/warehousing experience is an advantage but full training will be given.
