Today we have 2 NETT dogs. Amber is joined by Ralphy...my daughter and her partner's greyhound. Whilst they sun themselves on tropical sands, we sit in the grey clouds and work...but at least we have canine support. Pity he cant do paperwork!🤣🐕🐕🐕

Today is all about post audit cleanup.
You wouldn't believe that all these files were in perfect order before hand....now I need to put it all back in pristine order or any future audit will be a complete nightmare.
I hate paperwork....hence why I've procrastinated for 2 days!!,🤣🤣

They say it takes a village...but today it took a family!
This morning could have gone very pear shaped...I had a DVSA centre audit and then a Safeguarding course out of Ellon.
Add to that a sudden call for help from an elderly local resident who was experiencing some issues which raised my concerns...and I was stressing....I just couldn't be in 2 places at once.
However, thanks to a VERY understanding auditor I was able to pop in and out of the person's house and keep an eye on things whilst my husband and Dr daughter collaborated through WhatsApp and decided an ambulance should be called. The person is now in the right hands at ARI and will be fine, I completed the audit successfully before delivering a great course (so the delegates said!🤣) and all is a lot better with the world. Not a day I really want to repeat...but as I said, sometimes it takes a village!☺️

A lovely day with the volunteers of Portlethen Community Ambulance, 4 of whom underwent their drive assessments today. A lovely day, and most if it spent in the sun.☺️☀️

Good luck to all the CILT Transport Manager delegates around the UK who are sitting their exams today. I know its a tough slog but it'll be worth it. Remember...Always RTFQ! 🤣

At the end of Volunteers week 2026 I want to say a huge and grateful thanks to all of our amazing volunteers...past and present. I'm not kidding when I say that NETT would be nothing without you. From our Volunteer Directors, Trainers and supporters who give their time and advice, to the drivers of cars and minibuses who use their time and resources to help our clients maintain their independence, get to the shops / access medical appointments and a lot more. You are all very special people.
Thank you all. I look forward to the next 12 months...because with your help, we can do anything. 🥰

Huge well done to all the teachers and staff from Aboyne Academy who successfully passed their MiDAS practical and driving assessments this week. Special thanks to Jonathan the Cluster Business Manager. This was one of the best run set of MiDAS courses we've done recently. ..thanks in the main part to his hard work.
Thanks as well to Alan Brown for his help in delivering the last 2 days.😀
