Bettisfield Boats Bettisfield Boats is a small canal boat hire business based on the spectacular Llangollen canal. Swan is ideal for small families with younger children.

We have 2 canal boats called Mallard and Swan which now operate out of Whittington Wharf on a Friday afternoon at 2pm. Swan is a 2+2 berth boat which has a make up double at the rear, walk through bathroom leading to the kitchen and lounge which has two long thin bench seats at the front that can be slept on. Mallard is a 4 berth boat with a fixed bed at the rear, large walk through bathroom lead

ing to the kitchen and "L Shaped" lounge. ( the lounge seating can be made into another double bed )

Both boats have cruiser sterns and are super easy to steer being only 38 foot long which makes them idea for the Llangollen canal. We give our customers a full hand over on collection day and even have a little lock demo we can run through with people. Any problems on your weeks adventure and we are only a phone call away!!

Dozens of boats from across the north west travel will be visiting us at the start of the cruising season for the annual Easter Boat Gathering 15 to 18 April 2022. Colourful narrowboats and barges take centre stage across the site while the museum comes alive with music and activities for the whole family ⛵
