🚍 Home to School Transport – Driver & Passenger Assistant Opportunities (Edinburgh)
We are currently recruiting Drivers and Passenger Assistants for Home to School Transport contracts supporting children and young people across Edinburgh.
Positions are due to commence in August, however all applicants must begin the onboarding process now to allow sufficient time for the required employment, identity and safeguarding checks to be completed.
# # # Safeguarding & Compliance
As these roles involve working with children and vulnerable young people, all successful applicants must complete our safeguarding and compliance procedures before any work can commence.
This includes:
✔ Identity verification
✔ Right to work checks
✔ PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) checks
✔ Company onboarding procedures
PVG applications will be covered by the company where required.
If you already hold a PVG certificate, this may help speed up the process, however it must still be transferred and verified through our organisation before you can be allocated to a route.
Please note:
No applicant can begin work or be matched to a run until all checks have been successfully completed.
# # # Driver Requirements
Applicants for driver positions must hold:
- A valid Taxi or Private Hire Driver Licence
- A suitable licensed vehicle
# # # Passenger Assistant Positions
Passenger Assistant roles are also available and previous experience is not essential. We welcome reliable, caring and professional individuals who are comfortable supporting children during school transport journeys.
