Having recognised a void in the market of tour operating in Edinburgh for personal tours of small groups of visitors to the capital city, lifelong friends Tim and Imy set up Edinburgh Tour Cars. With the professional background in customer service for 20+ years coupled in with their passion for travelling and their experiences around the world, they now offer you the chance to enjoy their city and

afar in the comfort of their comfortable well maintained cars. While providing a private tour into those streets and roads unreachable by bigger vehicles, our saloon cars are more ideal and easier to get in and out of than a coach or bus for anyone with mobility issues. We have personally hand picked locations and landmarks around the city to give you an authentic experience of Scotland during your stay here in Edinburgh which we believe you will want to share with your family and friends when you leave here. Our packaged tours also cover the length and breadth of Scotland but we can also tailor your private tour to your interests, weather and time permitting.

Linlithgow Palace, a location we visited weekly on our tours. It was used as Wentworth Prison in the hit TV series Outlander.

Will be a while before we visit here again but until then we have our pictures to look back on.

Winter time and lots of snow in Scotland these past weeks. The lockdown has given us plenty of time out and about enjoying what is on our doorstep.

No doubt we’ll be seeing you all soon here in Bonnie Scotland. 😁

Hoping to see visitors feel more confident to travel to Scotland with these dates confirmed.

Good evening everyone.

It's been a while since we last posted and as much as we want to keep our customers and followers updated on what we do and places we go we've just been extremely busy to keep ontop of our social media site.

We are now approached into that time of year where we would expecting to be entertaining visitors to Scotland and Edinburgh but with this current crisis we find ourselves having to cancel all tours until it is safe to resume them. We have already issued full refunds to all our customers who were paid up and eagerly awating their first visit to Edinburgh. The wait will continue that little bit longer.

While it is not business as usual per se, we are still able to offer you taxi journeys. Our taxi vehicles are fitted with partition/safety glass between the driver and the passenger and are disinfected with surfaces being wiped down after every journey making us amongst your safest and cleanest option should you need to travel anywhere. For now we will be able to offer only out of town journeys and we will look to offer local taxi runs as well but only when suitable during this current climate.

We have been off the road for a month now but will slowly find ourselves back out there when safe to do so as instructed under government guidelines. If you don't need to go out then reduce the risk of spreading by staying in. If you do require a mode of transport, please get in touch.

Imy and Tim.
