AOTW Regatta Update!

On the 12th July, we have our brand new regatta taking place at Crinan - as well as this being a fundraising event for us, we of course want to ensure the autism community is involved and so we are delighted to announce that we will be offering free of charge trips for families with autism on the beautiful Sgarbh which is very generously being provided for use by Ross Ryan of crinan_classic_charters

Ross will take people with autism out to spectate this brand new regatta and the excitement out on the race course and we are sure that just like last time, everyone will have a great time!

Another day, another boat! Helping out Autism on the Water before they splash this tomorrow

This weeks job has been remaking a hatch for a Hunter 707. Old hatch patched and painted then a reverse mould taken and the first one out the new mould. Lots of work!

Extending the life of a tired pair of cockpit grates from a Sigma 33 today. With a bit of love from Epifanes Paint and West Systems Epoxy both supplied by Marine & Industrial, hopefully get another few seasons out of these.

Day 2 of working on an outboard hatch cover for a Hunter 707. We will be taking a reverse mould off this old broken cover that we have repaired to allow us to manufacture replacement covers that will be stronger and more resilient than the original balsa cored items.

Spruce Goose suitably spruced for the season for 707 Sailors Deep cleaned, polished, collision damage and trampoline section on deck remedied. New graphics and an antifoul.

This week we’ve been steam bending and laminating a new tiller for a Leisure 17 we’ve been working on.

Finished! Seam repair between deck and hull reglassed and gel coated. Hull repainted and Antifouled. Back in water and ready to go fishing.

This weeks project is a little fishing boat that got caught on its jetty in last years storms. Deck and hull have suffered damage and it really needs an antifoul.
