Thirlestane Castle is like something out of a book 📚

You can find this 16th century castle within the Lauderdale Estate in the Scottish Borders. Within its rose-pink sandstone and turrets it housed The Maitlands, one of the most influential families of the time, since 1590.

Now, the main part of the castle is owned by a charitable trust and is home to one of the most extensive family portrait collections in Scotland!
