Day trip to Edinburgh, Scotland.

✳Pros
✅Location
It's a cute boutique hotel close to restaurants and shops. It's also about 10 minutes from the Haymarket train station.
✅. Cost
£100/$140 per night
✅Spacious, clean and good service
✅ No one can just walk in unless you have a key. Non-hotel guests must ring the doorbell and someone will come to the door.
✅ Each room has a theme. Our room was the Windsor Room which is one of the larger rooms.

✳Cons
✅ It's an older building but they've done a good job with upgrades.
✅It's in the city so of course there's noise.
✅Mattress is a little too firm.

Overall, we are pleased with the hotel and would stay again.
If you want a moderately priced boutique hotel in a great location for a short stay then this is a good place.

It was a great day! After the canal cruise we had lunch at a Frites Bar, where the fries are piled high with your choice of toppings. We then bought some marzipan which is similar to fudge but less sugar. I think she told us it is made with almonds. Tomorrow we head back to England. Brugge is a great city to visit and we would definitely return for another short trip.

The churches in Brugge are beautiful and massive. This is just one that we visited.

We explored a little bit of the area today. In Brugge, masks are worn inside and outside except in restaurants. If you don't someone will remind you to put it on. Of course, we had to buy some chocolate which was absolutely delicious. We were going to ride the carriage but 55€ for 30 min didn't sound exciting. It seems to be a nice area and the people are friendly. More exploring tomorrow.

These are pics of our hotel. It's a nice hotel located in walking distance to many attractions, shops and restaurants. The location of every hotel we stay in is of utmost importance. Even though we drove to our destinations, we park the car and do not drive until it's time to leave. It was a little difficult to find because we had to drive down small streets and street names are not in usual places. If you've ever driven in Europe then you know the streets are small and you have to look out for people, cars and bicycles. We are also pleased with the cleanliness of the room and common areas. As soon as we get in the room, we always wipe everything down just for extra precautions. Overall we are pleased and would stay here again.

Cologne has been good to us. We found the most delicious korean food we've had outside of Korea. The Catherdral was absolutely amazing almost like something out of a movie. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott which is located in a place where we could walk to most things. We only used public transportation once to get to the Korean restaurant. Cologne seems to be a nice quiet town with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants and the people were friendly and helpful. Now it's on to the next destination!

This was a magnificent site to behold. The pictures don't do it justice. It's so massive that it actually doesn't look real. It's the 2nd tallest church in Europe and the 3rd largest in the world.
