So I’ve bought myself an apocalypse, 4 x 4 short wheelbase, Mercedes sprinter van. It’s a very rare find. I’m going to be doing some videos for my other channel on the rebuild, it’s not for manic fishing, but I think it will be interesting for this channel. My intentions were to travel down to Cornwall and do some fishing down there, but the weather gods were not kind to me and the reality of it is, I would’ve been stuck down there for weeks so this way once it’s kitted out I can travel down and jump on some of my mates Boats if I can’t get down by Sea 😁 https://youtube.com/?si=9TwSFMgMiwF-nj_O

So we have a new project on the go this is a 4 x 4 apocalypse vehicle, which I intend on getting out so when the weather is bad, I can still travel this thing. Will go anywhere.😁😎 I will be doing a video for this channel manic Boat adventures on YouTube of the fit out but any ideas or thoughts would be handy🙏

So the boat comes out the water today and the cleaning and servicing begins. I’m going to do a few small videos around the work. I’m going to do on it for my new new YouTube channel starting off with a bit of a scrub down and then get to work. I’m getting the barnacles off of the drive leg ready for antifa and hopefully remove a few anodes.

So this is just a short little video of my dog skip🐶 on his second swimming lesson this time we wanted to see if he could actually swim properly with his Crewsaver life jacket on!! so I took him to Lynsey at Dog Splash swimming pool, where he went the first time. I had a life jacket a couple of years ago when I first got him  and it actually held his head under so Paul Callus from crewsaver supplied me with one of theirs which has padding underneath his chest. my suggestion, even if you’re walking your dog down the beach, but especially if you’re like me and on a boat is to get yourself one of these jackets they come in various sizes and give Lynsey a call and perhaps get your dog booked in for a swimming lesson. It was great fun. Hope you get something from the video.😁🐶🐶

So me & skip did my two day advance day and night navigation qualification and got my certificate today. I had the Power boat two a few years ago, which was a two day Skipper Corce but this has just up my game and my confidence even more Nick and the lad who came out and tutored and assessed us were absolutely brilliant and very patient with me🤣 I had the last nighttime shift which started about 11.00pm and it was totally pitch black but with what we learned and taught throughout the day the night time navigation helped me no end so we had no electronics just a port starboard and running light a compass and two stop watches it was an absolute pleasure to do and I’m very fortunate to have a very good electronic system on my Boat, but if anything ever happens and they went down what do we do🤷🏻‍♂️well now, hopefully with what I’ve learnt I will be able to safely navigate in complete darkness. As you know a lot of the time I’m up around the Portsmouth area and in September I travel down to Cornwall where I will probably stop off at Weymouth for one night to fuel and recuperate and then probably go straight to Cornwall to support the tuna competition and then back to Torquay to fish with David and Mr. Joker Jigs aka Matthew Forrester. I really wanted to do a video for my other small YouTube channel, but the course was so intense. I didn’t have any opportunities at all. I’ve had a few criticisms from close friends that I should’ve smiled as a lot of you know I’m a bit of a grumpy bu**er so I think the picture reflects a true likeness 😁🎣🎣
