JOIN US AND STAND UP AGAINST THE BUS LANE PLANS!!

We will meet at Lewes train station and walk to the Lewes council office.

We will meet at Lewes train station from 9AM

Walk start time 9:20am until 10am.

Then we will be attending the meeting that is open to the public straight after at 10AM, which is where and when we will find out the fate of the Seaside bus lane plans!!

We need as many people to attend as possible to show Claire Dowling how much we don not want or need this bus lane!!

Good morning all,

Just wanted to update you all on our victory today!

The plans that have been consulted on will not progress in their current design.

What does that mean to us in normal people language?

The plans have been stopped,
The nest stage for ESCC is to go to the department of transport and ask for an extention in the period in which to spend the money.

Two outcomes

First, they are not given an extention then all the talk about planning and BSIP drop ad they will have no funding.

Secondly, they are given an extention for the money, the ESCC planning team will come to us directly with planning ideas and will have to work with the local residents and businesses.
There would have to be a consultation period but this time it would be open and honest and everyone will have a say in it (this is only if there is a compromise to be had) no longer will we not have a say in what happens.

Over all we have won this round and hopefully they will bow in defeat and this will be the last of the bus lane in Seaside but we will find out for sure in February, and we will up date you all!

Did you know the council have been given 30 million pounds for the bus priority measures, their key objective is to improve the buses lateness between 30 -120 seconds by introducing bus lanes!

Don't know about you but I can think of a million things that are more important, staving family's, lack of paediatric care at our hospital and pot holes to name a few!

The planned bus lane in seaside is going to damage all the independent businesses here, we are going to loose all our parking for our customers and vans. But the concerning part is that this is just the first step in a big plan, if we let this step to go ahead then there will be no stopping it!! if it will affect you detrimentally then please stand up and join us in this fight against the bus priority measures!

The fist pictures are what the council have told us, the last are what they have not told us about, seriously effecting Langney and Hampden park!!

Hello Eastbourne from DB Domestics,

We have been serving you wonderful people for the last 40 years, we are a family run business now on our third generation who believe in service and helping our customers in any way we can.

We have created this page to let the residents of Eastbourne know what plans are being proposed for bus priority measures around Eastbourne that we have found out.

This is very alarming for us as a business as it will mean we will loose all of our parking for our stock vans and customers alike, which could kill our trade along with all the other independent shops around us.

The local residents will also loose their parking which will affect house prices.

The information for the BIG plan is not readily available to the general public, we have only been told a tiny part and if this is allowed to go ahead then they will achieve funding for the rest!
