Happy New Year from SMF
A belated Happy New Year to all of you! We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your continued support throughout the past year. 2024 was a busy and rewarding year for us, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust you placed in us to help with your needs.
We’ve undertaken a significant number of house clearances recently, many of which have been especially moving due to the circumstances involved. To everyone who reached out to us during difficult times, thank you for allowing us to assist.
Over the past year, we have worked closely with individuals impacted by mental health challenges, including those facing hoarding disorders. A recent statistic shared on the radio revealed that as many as 1 in 20 people may suffer from hoarding disorder, highlighting the widespread nature of this condition.
Through our work, we’ve come to appreciate how deeply intertwined mental health is with hoarding and how unique each situation can be. While we don’t claim to fully understand every aspect of this condition, we approach every case with empathy and care, tailoring our support to meet the individual needs of each client. In some instances, this support has been more about offering a listening ear and understanding the root causes, while in others, it has been about creating a safe and manageable living environment.
What to Expect in 2025
This year, we remain committed to offering no-obligation quotes. This means we will visit you to discuss the job and the specific circumstances surrounding it without any pressure. We approach every situation without judgment, aiming to help in any way we can. We also ensure that our services fit around your life and financial circumstances. This might mean breaking the job into smaller, more manageable stages so that it’s not overwhelming—financially or emotionally—for our customers.
We are proud to have worked closely with social services in many areas, including:
• Mental health services
• Adult protection teams
• Child protection services
• Drug and alcohol addiction support
We fully support social work in the jobs they do and we have to say they all do a great job in their own right with limited resources and money from above to help.
In addition, we have collaborated with care homes across the Central Belt, assisting with bereavements. These sensitive situations require understanding, care, and professionalism, and we are honored to provide the necessary support to families during such times.
Thank You
Once again, thank you all for your continued support. If you would like to contact us, please don’t hesitate to send us a private message or email at [email protected]. We’ll aim to respond within 24 hours with a contact number so we can assist further.
Here’s to another year of helping those in need.
