Come and meet Bluey on 22nd & 23rd August at intervals throughout the day at the Mid-Norfolk Railway!

🌿🚂Start your day by enjoying a scenic steam train ride through the heart of the Norfolk countryside to Thuxton. Every child will receive a complimentary activity sheet, crayon, biscuit and juice to enjoy during the journey.

Then, back at the station Bluey will be waiting to meet families, wave hello and pose for photos, so don’t forget your camera!📸💙

🚂 Working in partnership with our friends at Fox & Edwards Events, we are pleased to be hosting PADDINGTON™ at Mid-Norfolk Railway!

🚂💼🐻 On Saturday 6th June, step aboard a vintage steam train and journey along Mid Norfolk Railway and see Paddington™

Children recieve a complimentary activity sheet, crayon, biscuit and juice to enjoy during the journey, before seeing Paddington™ back at the station when you return, so don't forget your camera!

Steam Trains are running today!

Our maroon timetable is running today with Steam trains and Heritage DMU trains starting from 0930 at Dereham until 1530 and what’s more, Kids travel FREE. Experience train travel as it used to be in our historic maroon coaches or take a trip on our 1980s pacer train!

✨️ This weekend we are running our Maroon Timetable, powered by our resident steam locomotive BR Standard 4MT 80078 and our resident Class 142 061 Pacer Unit.

🎟 Purchase tickets in advance online or from our ticket offices at Dereham Railway Station & Wymondham Abbey Halt

🧒👧 KIDS GO FREE! - up to 2 children can travel for free with a full fare paying adult!

☕️🍰 Visit Dereham Station Tea Room for a range of snacks, drinks, cakes, light bites & hot food - why not grab some treats to enjoy on your scenic journey!

☕️🍰 County School Tea Room will also be open - although not serviced by our trains (yet!) there is still a beautiful Station building & stunning wildlife to enjoy while you partake in one of our famous bacon rolls and a cuppa!

🦖 The Dino Squad will be bringing their amazing team back to Dereham Railway Station this half term for their brand new DINOSAUR TRAINING ACADEMY

🦖 🚂 Pick up your Dino Trainer Passport and work with the Dino Squad and their Rangers to earn your Trainer stamps at Dereham Station and onboard our STEAM HAULED train ride to Thuxton Station and back!

🦕 Get up close and personal with the dino team of Junior, Ralph, Hank, Brian and The Babies during your visit back in time! Bring your own dinosaur toy and introduce them to the Squad!

🎟️ Your ticket includes a return STEAM ENGINE-hauled journey between Dereham & Thuxton, plus access to all of the dinosaurs and activities at both sites.
