The start of this weekend’s journey as our coach is currently aboard the P&O Dover to Calais crossing, before continuing on into Belgium for a Battlefields Tour. 🚌

A very special and meaningful trip ahead, visiting some of the historic battlefield sites and remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Another successful MOT pass for our oldest vehicle! ✅🚌

Just because a vehicle has a few more years behind it doesn’t mean it can’t be maintained to the very highest standard. We take huge pride in looking after every vehicle in our fleet, ensuring they are safe, reliable and presented to the standard our passengers expect.

A clean MOT is a testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes from our maintenance team. Keeping our fleet in top condition is something we never compromise on.

You know it’s a busy weekend when the boss is out driving on a Sunday! 🚌💙

Today we’re collecting a group arriving on the Stranraer ferry before bringing them through to the beautiful market town of Barnard Castle.

It’s been another busy weekend for the team, with coaches travelling across the country to get our customers where they need to be. From day trips and special events to long-distance transfers, every journey is important to us.

While many are enjoying a relaxing Sunday, we’re doing what we do best – keeping our customers moving safely, comfortably and on time.

We had one of our coaches heading to the beautiful seaside town of Whitby, while another was transporting guests to a special ball at Hardwick Hall Hotel.

Silly season (coach company terms if you know you know 🤪 ) may be starting to settle down, but the trips certainly don’t stop! ☀️🚌

Today we’re out with two of our coaches taking a fantastic community centre group for a great day out at Preston Park, where they’ll be enjoying the beautiful grounds, fascinating museum and Butterfly World. 🌳🦋

We’re proud to continue keeping groups on the move throughout the summer holidays, whether it’s community groups, day trips, clubs or special outings. There’s always somewhere new to explore!

What a fantastic end to the school year! 🚌🎉

Today we were proud to be part of a major passenger movement, transporting approximately 350 pupils from Whitworth Park Academy on their end-of-term celebrations.

The majority of the students enjoyed a day at the Metrocentre, while another coach headed to Planet Leisure, making for a busy but brilliantly coordinated operation.

Large movements like this don’t happen without teamwork, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to our fellow coach operators Tm Travel & Bob Smith Coaches who worked alongside us today. It’s always great to see local coach companies coming together to ensure every journey runs safely, smoothly and on time.

A big thank you to Whitworth Park Academy for choosing Shaws of Durham, and we hope all the pupils and staff had an amazing day making memories before the summer holidays. ☀️💙

🚌 Another fantastic day out on tour! 💙

We’re currently on tour with one of the fantastic companies we work alongside, enjoying a wonderful day visiting some of the North East’s most historic landmarks.

Today’s itinerary includes the beautiful Escomb Saxon Church, the historic market town of Hexham, and the fascinating Heavenfield – each offering its own unique piece of our region’s rich history and heritage.

At Shaws of Durham, we’re proud to provide comfortable, reliable and professional coach travel, helping our passengers explore some truly special places.

☀️ A fantastic day out to South Shields yesterday! 🚌🌊

Yesterday we had the pleasure of taking one of our local primary schools for a day at the seaside in South Shields. There’s nothing better than seeing excited faces as the children head off to enjoy some fresh sea air, fun on the beach and making memories with their classmates.

At Shaws of Durham, we’re proud to support local schools by providing safe, reliable and comfortable transport for educational visits and end-of-term trips. We hope everyone had an amazing day and made the most of the beautiful coast!
