Thank You for 18 Incredible Years – Ballumbie Carriers Says Goodbye
After 18 unforgettable years of service, Ballumbie Carriers is officially retiring. It is with a heavy heart that we share this news, and although this is not how we ever wished to bow out, the time has come for us to close this chapter.
We want to express our deepest thanks to every single customer who has supported us over the years. Whether it was a one-off delivery or long-term support, your trust meant everything to us. To the businesses who stood by us and believed in our service, especially Howdens who supported us the most, the Photobiology Department at Ninewells Hospital and where it all began at Homebase Dundee – thank you. You helped shape who we became and we are truly grateful.
Over the years we had the honour of helping countless families move into their new homes. Being part of such a special moment – a fresh start, a new chapter – was a privilege we never took lightly. It meant the world to us when customers recommended us to their family and friends. That trust was the biggest compliment we could ever receive.
Our motto from day one was always “Small enough to care, big enough to cope” – and we lived by that every day. We worked hard to be there when our customers needed us most and we took pride in delivering more than just goods. We delivered reliability commitment and care.
Beyond the deliveries and the logistics we were always proud to give back to our community. Each year we supported Cash for Kids and Tay FM by collecting gifts for their Christmas appeals to make sure that every child had the chance to open a present on Christmas Day. It was one of the most meaningful parts of what we did.
Sadly due to circumstances beyond our control involving individuals who were trusted and treated well within our team we have had to step away earlier than we ever imagined. This was not the ending we wanted but it does not take away from everything we achieved or the pride we feel in how we served our community.
Ballumbie Carriers was a family-run business and will remain a source of pride for our family forever. We leave with our heads held high and our hearts full of gratitude for every mile every handshake and every relationship built along the way.
