Job description
Primary purpose:

Produce and start-up production lines according to budgeted levels of output and quality following standard operating procedures

Performance measurement

Ensure a well-organized start-up and follow-up of production lines

Maintain and work according to high standards of quality output, waste and cost reduction

Working according to instructions and procedures

Maintain clean, tidy and safe areas and equipment. Establish and maintain housekeeping standards.

Duties and responsibilities

Ensures lines are properly set up in a timely manner and process parameters are maintained.

Ensure performance and efficiencies of all lines

Ensure the correct raw materials are being used.

Ensure that the product quality is correct.

Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to a high standard.

In case of breakdowns ensure clean areas that are not accessible during normal running should be attended to

Make yourself available as much as possible to support other lines

Local material handling

Rewinds (prior to hot box)

We are a well-established manufacturer and exporter of Carpet Yarns, seeking a hands on Accountant to prepare and take responsibility for our financial accounting and reporting. We are a subsidiary of Low & Bonar PLC.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage one other accountant, who works on a part-time basis.
Key responsibilities will include, although not be limited to:
• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
• Preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Cash flow forecasting and management
• Overseeing the day to day sales ledger and VAT returns
• Post to and maintain the Purchase Ledger
• Post to and reconcile multi-currency Bank Accounts
• Practical experience of payroll
• Assist General Manager with Budget/Forecasting
• Working with Management Team to review monthly budget v actual costs
• Liaison with statutory Auditors
• Supporting Management Team with any ad hoc duties and on-site projects
The ideal candidate will:
• have experience of day to day financial accounting and processing
• be professionally qualified, or qualified by experience
• have manufacturing experience, though not essential
• have good written and verbal communication skills
• be IT competent (Microsoft), with previous experience of Oracle ERP systems an advantage
• be a self-starter, able to work on their own, and see projects to a conclusion
• be motivated and pro-active in terms of business improvements
The Financial Accountant will work full-time Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

We are looking for Shift Maintenance Electrician

Electrical upkeep of Plant and Equipment in a traditional manufacturing facility

Working conditions
• 12 Hr Shift (Continental) 5/2 shift pattern
• Both individually and as part of a multi-skilled team

Candidates must:
• Have completed a full apprenticeship.
• Electrical Qualifications such as City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent or 17th Edition
• Current knowledge of typical Health & Safety working regulations within a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer / Electrician in an Industrial manufacturing environment
• The ability to read and work from technical drawings for electrics and mechanical systems etc
• Other than safety equipment , candidates must supply their own tools
• Be fully conversant with the latest wiring regulations
• Flexibility towards working hours / emergency call-outs etc
• Speak English
The candidate will be expected to :
• Be first-line contact for immediate reaction to emergency break-down on plant, equipment and buildings diagnosing problems as quickly as possible.
• Effectively manage break-down and/or failure of equipment and plant by taking appropriate remedial action
• Liaise with Shift Leaders, production and operations managers to inform them of progress of break-downs.
• Undertake replacement of parts for emergency break-downs/equipment failures.
• Identify replacement/ new parts as required for purchasing.
• Carry out a safe system of work for Predictive, Preventative and Planned Maintenance as required.
• Carry out checks on machinery/plant/equipment in accordance with planned maintenance each month.
• Undertake projects requested by the Maintenance Manager
• Undertake necessary maintenance/break-down repairs throughout all areas of the business e.g. manufacturing environments, offices and outdoor areas as required
• Accurate and timely completion of documentation to comply with all necessary standards and requirements.
• Working as part of any team and actively take part in team activities including Continuous Improvement activities
• Undertake any additional training to develop skills as the company requires
• To work in accordance with Company policies and practices
• To undertake any other duties as may be required within the scope of the role and participate as necessary in company initiatives and projects

Additionally
• A knowledge of Drives & Controls would be advantageous, although is not a necessity
