Charter boat based in Dover, MAVERICK is an Offshore 105 powered by a 330HP Iveco inboard engine, Cat 2 coded for 12 and capable of a fast and comfortable passage out to your chosen fishing grounds or wreck sites. Free tea,coffee and snacks are provided plus we have a fully equipped galley and centrally heated cabin. The large deck area is fully flood lite for night fishing trips, and a live bait

box and cutting table are available. Maverick is fitted with the latest communication, radar and navigation aids plus a HD Side Scan imaging system that allows you to see a full 3D image of the wreck site or grounds allied to and fish finder. Additional equipment include a 3mtr rigid hulled tender and outboard engine,12/24v power supplies,5kw invertor for continious 240v power, diver lift and 2 x 2 tonne capstans. Maverick is available for 6 or 8 hour fishing trips plus safety boat,crew transfer,survey, commercial / recreational diving support and security patrol duties. Weather this Sunday was much better than expected and so was the fishing !….
10 local anglers boarded Maverick (Dover) at 0800 and after a quick cup of coffee and a safety briefing we was off ,out into the English Channel….our chosen fishing area was 9 miles due south of Dover and within 2 mins of dropping the lines in ,fish were coming over the rail.
Numbers weren’t huge ,but consistently good fish throughout the day over both tides. And to top it off we were busted by a pod of dolphins which circled the boat whilst we drifted.
Species caught were ,Black Bream, Gernards,Pollock and a few big Weavers to keep us on our toes.
As usual Craig at CHANNEL ANGLING supplied the boys with some great variety of bait at great prices.( plus his shop is only 2 min walk from the boat)
Big “THANK YOU” to all the guys that joined us… great day had by all.

Superb days fishing out near the VARNE today … weather forecast was utterly wrong AGAIN!… rain stayed away till 1600hrs and seas we’re pretty flat , great group of London anglers onboard ,who knew how to enjoy themselves with fair fair too much banter !….. species caught included Bass,Gurnard,Codling,Dogfish and too many Scad to mention…. Great day had by all.
