Something lovely happened in our little corner of Eryri this week — the kind of win that makes you pause and think, yes… this is why people fall in love with this place.

Our local cinema, The Magic Lantern in Tywyn (just a few minutes from Geufron Farm), was named Best Cinema in the UK at the British Independent Film Awards.

And the part that makes me grin?

They quietly welcome calm, well-behaved dogs

Yes — you can take your dog to the cinema.
They curl up at your feet, snooze through the trailers, and everyone gets to stay together.

And then there’s the bit no one expects from a small seaside town:
bookable sofas.
Properly comfy ones.
For humans only — dogs get the cosy floor seats and plenty of fuss on arrival.

Before the film even starts, there’s table service at your seat, a fully stocked bar, and that lovely feeling of settling into somewhere with character and heart.

For our guests — outdoorsy, dog-loving, space-seeking humans who don’t want to compromise on experiences — this is the winter night out they’ve been searching for.

A place where you don’t have to choose between doing something special… and bringing the dog along.

Adventure by day.
A film, a sofa, and a sleepy dog by night.

That’s our kind of winter.

Saturday, 1st November, was the last day of opening this year. We want to say a big "Thank you" to all the customers who have come to see the donkeys on the beach. We hope to open next year for the February 2026 Half Term, depending on the weather conditions
