This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker who enjoys safeguarding, professional leadership and partnership working. Unlike many statutory roles, this position offers a small caseload, with a greater focus on providing specialist advice, consultation and support to colleagues, helping improve outcomes for adults, children and families affected by substance use.

You'll be joining an established team of Social Workers and Family Recovery Coordinators, led by a Senior Social Worker, with access to regular supervision, reflective practice and excellent development opportunities.

We were grateful to be invited to speak at the 7th Annual Youth Conference at Huddersfield University, organised by Howard Belafonte from LS2Y. Two staff members were able to speak with students and professionals on the impact of substances, criminal justice and knife crime.

We were also delighted to attend the Inclusion & Belonging Conference at Huddersfield Town. We have the greatest impact when we come together!

This isn't a frontline social work role. It's a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced Social Worker looking to influence practice, develop services and lead high-performing teams.

You'll provide professional leadership and line management for our Social Workers, and as a member of our SLT you'll oversee safeguarding practice, support complex decision-making, and help shape service development across Kirklees.

The role also includes representing Change Grow Live at local, regional and national forums, and deputising for the Services Manager at strategic boards and panels, including safeguarding and domestic abuse partnership arrangements across Kirklees.

There are lots of reasons you might not want to quit smoking, and it might seem daunting at first, but you don’t have to do it alone.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

-️ List your reasons to quit and go back to them if you feel tempted to smoke

- Tell your friends and family you’re quitting; they’ll be able to support you

- Throw away your ci******es and lighter when you first start quitting

- Keep stop smoking products, such as gum or vapes, on hand to use if you feel tempted to smoke

Last week, we held our annual Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning, where we held a staff bake-off competition.

As a result, we were able to raise a massive £228
