When bookings are made over the phone or manually, we usually request a screenshot of the flight confirmation to avoid any confusion regarding arrival times. Unfortunately, our website does not support attachments, so customers can only enter their flight details manually.

A huge thank you to all of our customers for another fully booked day ahead 🙌

4 of us will be starting the first part of our shift shortly at 2am with the exception of one of our drivers who is a lucky boy having a lie in until later on this morning before he begins.

🚖✈️ A gentle reminder to keep us updated about any flight or time changes

We don’t usually take risks like this because incorrect flight information can often result in a no show and a wasted journey… but today we got lucky and I think we need to put the lottery on because this is always a big gamble!

Earlier this afternoon, one of our drivers dropped passengers off at Liverpool Airport. He had a collection from Manchester Airport scheduled for 3pm however there was a big problem. The flight number on the booking wasn't scheduled for today and there was no sign of the flight. We tried to reach the customer for clarification but had no luck. We knew this was either a mistake with the flight number or the wrong date had been selected. Now, we'd never usually send a vehicle when the flight information doesn't match the booking because we don't know when people are arriving but as Manchester was on the way back from Liverpool the driver decided to stop on his way back at his own risk to see if the passengers arrived, both his and our guess was the flight had perhaps changed and the passengers had forgotten to inform us about the change...

Thankfully, our passengers have arrived

Here’s what happened…

The original booking was for a 3pm collection from Manchester Airport returning from Majorca. However, at some point the flight had changed and unfortunately we were never informed.
When it came time for us to track the flight today, the flight number provided simply wasn’t scheduled to land at Manchester at all today so we were left in the dark playing guessing games!

The customer had emailed this morning to say they were delayed (after receiving their journey reminder showing today’s date), but there was no mention of a flight change — which added extra confusion to the matter as the given flight number wasn't arriving till tomorrow and the journey was booked for this afternoon which doesn't make sense.

I had a quick look on the Manchester Airport arrivals site and spotted a similar Jet2 flight arriving from Majorca… and had a funny feeling our passengers might be on it.

Turns out… they were! 😄

So not only are we professional airport transfer specialists… apparently we’re mind readers too 🔮, isn't it amazing how one role can lead to another over time it's just wonderful!

All jokes aside, this is a friendly reminder to please make sure the information you provide to us is accurate and up to date.
If your flight changes for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible so we can avoid any disruption to your return journey and save everyone from last-minute detective work! 🕵️‍♂️

Multiple inbound flights at Manchester Airport are delayed tonight, and we’ve got a busy schedule of passenger drop-offs and collections throughout the night but as always here at Star Travel, everything is running smoothly despite all our team being almost fully booked with bookings 💙

Our drivers are working hard to ensure every customer gets to the airport on time for their holiday, while also making sure passengers arriving home on delayed flights are collected promptly and safely without any added stress.

10 years ago, Star Travel started as a one-man operation. In those early days, growing the team was challenging and during periods of disruption we occasionally had to rely on other small operators to help us cover delayed flights.
Fast forward to today, and we’re incredibly proud to have built a fantastic team of dedicated professional drivers who are passionate about delivering an excellent service every single day.
