Changes coming in from tomorrow (Saturday 29 January) ⚠️

New Highway Code guidance will help people cycling, walking and riding horses even safer.

🚗Part of the guidance includes encouraging people using cars to open their doors with the hand furthest from the door, to help them look over their shoulder behind them for people cycling or walking.

More fabulous volunteers helping truckers. Let's hope this crisis highlights the shocking shortage of decent facilities for HGV drivers all over the UK, and helps us get some improvement.

The Salvation Army has been working with the emergency services to provide welfare support for a number of stranded lorry drivers caught up in severe traffic delays on the M20.

The South-East Division has been asked by Kent County Council to support the police as part of Operation Stack, where freight vehicles are parked along the carriageway because of delays at Eurotunnel or the Channel ports as a result of Covid-19 restrictions.

A small team of staff and volunteers from The Salvation Army’s Kent base, using The Salvation Army’s emergency vehicle, have been preparing and delivering bagged meals to Kent Police for distribution to drivers in need. Hundreds of lunches have been provided to those stranded so far, with many of the drivers fearing they will not get home for Christmas.

We're looking for a HGV driver who enjoys life on the road transporting a variety of specialised loads, and wants to be part of a busy team and family business.

We are Bison Transport Solutions, delivering general haulage plus. We serve a niche market, taking on jobs that are a little too complicated, specialised or just plain awkward for most hauliers, such as shop fittings, building sites, hazardous chemicals and air freight.

Bison is owned and run by James Wrigglesworth, who followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather (both haulage company owners) when he set up the company in 2003.

We pride ourselves on running trucks that people want to drive, and paying wages that people want to earn. We are dedicated to providing a service that delivers goods on time and in the best possible condition, as well as being fuel and cost efficient, environmentally aware, safe on the roads and considerate to customers and colleagues.

We run a state of the art Scania fleet and we are proud to be a FORS Silver accredited haulier.
